We have been on an uphill battle for the past three years of the pandemic. But through these hard times, I have seen our collective resilience and maturity - rallying together, supporting one another, and bouncing back stronger.
Through everyone's contributions and efforts, we have found our way through this pandemic.
It is therefore timely for us to take stock and learn from our experience over the last 3 years. We are publishing the review of our Covid-19 response in a White Paper. We will continue to take in feedback and views, and will have a full debate in Parliament on the White Paper later this month.
Through this exercise we will distill the key lessons for Singapore, so we can be better prepared for future pandemics

Happy to welcome Indonesian regional leaders to Singapore under the 2nd RISING Fellowship. We had a good discussion about economic cooperation and human capital development, and I gained a renewed appreciation of the diversity of Indonesia's regions.
Singapore and Indonesia enjoy strong relations, underpinned by mutual trust and win-win cooperation. We have deep economic ties and Singapore has been the largest foreign investor in Indonesia since 2014 - a sign of the confidence our businesses have in Indonesia.
We share close ties not only between our businesses, but also between our leaders and our people. There is much to learn from each other, and we hope to continue stepping up exchanges with Indonesia's regions - from Sabang to Merauke!

Back in early 2020, The Wharton School planned to hold their global forum here. But Covid-19 struck, and the plans were shelved. This year, they are finally able to convene the global forum again, and I’m glad they have chosen to come back to Singapore.
Events like these reflect the role that Singapore plays in the global network — as a convenor, connector and facilitator; and ultimately as a place where we can bring people together to imagine new possibilities and where the human spirit thrives. Thanks, Wharton School, for having me today at your 55th Global Forum!

School’s out! Blessed with great weather this weekend, we had a blast of fun with Our Limbang residents — made a splash at our first Water Carnival and playoff at the Marsiling-Yew Tee GRC IAECs sports fiesta!
During the school holidays, I hope you can spend some time exploring new hobbies. Stay active and have fun!

Participated in the Lianhe Zaobao 联合早报 Forum with Low Yen Ling and our business community. We had productive discussions on measures and initiatives to drive our economy forward, while also empowering our workers and businesses.
I thank all for your valuable feedback and suggestions shared at the forum, and I look forward to working closely with our businesses to build a fairer and more inclusive home for all.

Happy World Water Day!
Together, let’s #MakeEveryDropCount - we can turn off our taps at home, or reuse water for washing our vegetables and fruits to water our plants.
I am heartened by what we have achieved so far. Looking forward to more collective efforts to ensure that Singapore can enjoy good, clean water for many years to come! #WorldWaterDay PUB, Singapore's National Water Agency

Joined PM Lee Hsien Loong and our Ministers for the Singapore-Indonesia Leaders' Retreat today.
Singapore and Indonesia collaborate closely across many sectors, including security, finance, economic and people-to-people exchanges. We are now strengthening cooperation in areas like the digital economy, sustainability, and human capital development. We are also close partners in multilateral platforms like the G20 and ASEAN, which Indonesia is chairing this year.
Looking forward to our two countries working together closely to create more opportunities for our people.

Joined Grace Fu & Amy Khor at this year’s Singapore World Water Day.
The world is facing an imminent water crisis. We cannot take our water supply for granted, and must continue to work hard to meet our future water needs.
Kudos to our volunteers, youths, community and corporate partners for your commitment to this cause.

Today we celebrate Kaki Bukit's 40th anniversary! I have some memories of this estate from my growing up years. While I lived in Marine Parade, I would sometimes take a bus to explore the shops in nearby Bedok. So I remember the vibrant neighbourhood centre in Kaki Bukit and the hawker centres with their delicious local food!
Great to be back at Kaki Bukit, and to meet many families and residents. Many are looking forward to the new developments, such as the upgraded community centre and new integrated hospital.
But most important of all, the gotong-royong spirit is alive and well in Kaki Bukit. Generations of residents have raised their families here, and there’s a strong sense of community spirit. Happy Birthday, Kaki Bukit, and wishing you many more good years ahead! Shamsul KamarKaki Bukit
