SG Tourist attractions always fail. Why?

u cant find answers 2 how 2 create successful tourist attractions in 10 yr series ...
what r they doing wrong? reasons:-
no heritage
not original
lack novelty
shallow impact
not unique to the world
compare to m'sia, indonesia, thailand, philippines, vietnam, myanmah or even timor leste, they have originality. natural forests/jungles, waterfalls, caves, war-torn artefacts, ancient temples, historical monuments.
our trouism scene is shallow, all about shopping & spending $. not all tourists are so bimbo, if they wanna shopping, they can shop in milan, new york or hong kong, no need fly all the way here for shopping.

SUCCESS can NEVER be taught or learnt from a standard textbook or 10 yr series.
Attractions have to evolve with ABSOLUTELY ZERO interference from govt especially scholars spoonfed on 10 yr series.
Chinatown DIED the moment URA had a hand in it. Bugis Street DIED as well. The mobile hawker van idea perished at the hands of the URA too.
It is the streetwise kids, the mavericks (school dropouts) who are the ones with innovative, creative ideas that would succeed in making viable attractions with their entreprenuership spirit which can NEVER be found in all the 10 yr series in the world.
They assume that as long as they run the daily operations, people will come, and the government will take care of any problems.
Perhaps because most of the organisations tasked with developing the attractions are run my ex SAF Morons?

Tourist attractions are for tourists. Ask the tourists what they want, and what will they want in the future. For the night safari, the same narration has been playing for many years. A friend of mine joked to me that he could still remember the ending sentences from his last visit 3 years ago! My friends from Germany told me that at China town, what they can see are mechandises from China.

The original Haw Par Villa was very popular until they screwed it up by trying to make it into some cheap lame amusment park. Tang Dynasty...Nothing really appealing, if they were to have lots of filming there maybe it would work but doubt it.

The whole of peesai is chinatown. Waste money. Its like Iceland creating an attraction called snow city.
Might as well convert Chinatown into Chinamen hangout town or Town of potential cheap labor for your business.

Its not about the attractions, its about the people. Its always about the people.
In the short time I've been here (about a year) I've found Singaporeans to be highly clever but awfully boring.
I've been to other places, for work and on holidays, and the people there are always interesting. intriguing even. In Singapore they always seem to be jaded. Why is that?
