[Sg] - Entire Platoon of PAP out in force on the streets

While maternal love is often innate, effective parenting requires more than just affection. Unwise love can be detrimental, a principle that applies to broader societal policies. Malaysia's NEP, intended to uplift Malays through preferential treatment, illustrates this. Initially designed to provide a temporary advantage, the NEP became a lasting dependency, hindering rather than fostering true competitiveness. Corruption and entitlement, byproducts of prolonged preferential treatment, created a system difficult to dismantle. This mirrors the challenges faced by welfare states that overextend their resources through vote-seeking promises of generous benefits. Reversing or reducing these benefits becomes politically untenable.
You wrote long, but still fail to address the discriminations existing inherent in this society.

Malays, when given the opportunity to work under cultures and bosses (Japanese, western whites, Latin, etc) who practise minimal discrimination tend to do very well vis-a-vis other races. That however, is hampered by the vast population numbers of non-Malays.

Anyone saw this unusual statue?
Wtf is that?

I don't know of any affirmative action in S'pore - unlike Malaysia where the govt knows that the majority are unable to compete on a level-playing field with the Chinese and Indians. They would be left far behind in a meritocratic system in Malaysia. These people just aren't cut out to compete with others because they lack the drive and intellect.

There is. Section 152.

There is. Section 152.
"If we do not work, we do not have an income. If we do not strive, we do not progress. When I say the Malays are lazy, people get angry with me, but that is the truth. If we do not want to work, others are ready to work" - Dr Mahathir Mohamad in 2018.

The media crew, the 'grassroots volunteers', the 'advance party' scouting the area to see which households are friendlier for doing PAP photo ops.
