This is good news for the hoteliers in PH. Tourists would rather stay in PH which is cheaper than Spore. They can go to Legoland /Hello Kitty first before hopping into the ferry to go to Universal Studios on a day trip or vice versa.

Quite true, k go casino also. First ferry in Last Ferry out. Tourists from other parts of Malaysia k park at Puteri Harbour then take Ferry.

Agree.

This is good news for those invested in condos as well. Harbourfront is a large commercial hub (formerly known as World Trade Center), with lots of offices. Also, the nearby Pasir Panjang Road and Alexandra are also up and coming business centers, with hubs like Mapletree Business City, home to large companies, such as SAP, HSBC, P&G, etc. These hubs are very well connected with Harbourfront.

Commuting from Puteri Harbour may just turn out to be a very good value proposition for those who work around this area with the savings in rent and other expenses. A good tradeoff with some additional commute time.

True. Sometimes have to try other casinos at Batam apart from the usual ones.

CHINA'S Country Garden Holdings Co Ltd is planning a major integrated waterfront development on 22.2 hectares of land in Johor's Danga Bay with an estimated gross development value of RM18 billion (S$7.1 billion).

The Hong Kong-listed developer plans to start construction early next year. The first phase will comprise a luxury clubhouse, commercial tower, shopping mall and high-end serviced residence costing about RM2 billion.

Government-linked IWH owns more than 1,616 hectares of waterfront land in the southern state, and is its master developer.

Since Iskandar Malaysia's launch in late 2005, the government has poured billions into infrastructure projects there to help the region capitalise on its proximity to Singapore to thrive economically.

Wow, so how does Danga Bay weigh against Puteri Harbour? How I wish this S$7.1b is pouring into Puteri harbour...

Looking forward to the ferry to PH!

Yes, I heard the same. MRT will not be a problem as Harbourfront has both Purple and Yellow line.

UEM also mentioned to me some time back that there is a lot of pressure from Legoland to complete the CIQ by the end of the year so that they may ferry Universal Studios visitors to Legoland and offer a packaged deal. In that case Harbourfront makes most sense as it is closest to Sentosa gateway.

I am sure that the time will come. While a lot of vacant land around Puteri Harbour may be detracting some individual investors, but the good thing is that land is under one company (UEM) and they can bring in some good brand names. Their track record is quite credible as they have managed to attract Traders, Somerset and Frasers (I believe the hotel operator for Tiong Nam).

Also, success bring in success. It is quite possible that more hotel operators are waiting on the sidelines to observe how Traders performs. And if they do well, we should see some more top hotels announced in the near future. Fingers crossed.

The new CIQ should also be a game changer for Puteri Harbour.

hi guy,

anyone hear about teega tower@Puteri habour?? think to bought a office unit there at 2565 sqft at 1.5 mil anyone can share with me whether the price is on higher side or resonable?

Yep. ultimately having one Vendor (UEM) to make sure all developements follow accordingly to the drawing board is very important. Thats what makes the whole area more sustainable and holds the value better.

Not opening for sale just yet. But once open better grab as many offices you can lay your hands on. Teega has the only office block at puteri harbour

I must thanks Andrewjb... he is the best property agent I ever come across. He helps us to get a unit today without any commission.... we are so happy that we dont hv to go and queue up tmr morning. As we do not own a car, he still volunteered to fetch us to PH. While he was queueing up with his friends, we managed to explored Hello Kitty Land and have lunch in the cafe.

Note : Today is the first time we meet up with him. Overall....Kudos to Andrewjb!!!
