I think some improvements in job area can be made. Believe me, it will benefit the companies themselves if they are more open to other races instead of throwing away the resumes and inventing excuse like "deal with PRC/Taiwan" which may not be true in vast majority of cases. The Koreans were like this only hiring/promoting Koreans, even in oversea posting, now they are learning the hard way after crisis. Same for Japanese. Why are US/Europe companies ruling the world? Because they are more open than others. Just look at top ranks in Google/Shell etc. you will find all names, Chinese, Indian, muslim etc. I am not saying they are perfect, they are a lot better.

Sinkie companies have a golden chance that a Taiwanese, Chinese or Korean company does not have - that is a country where they can hire diverse workforce, at all levels (not just liftmen and janitors), right at home. If they grab it with both hands, they can benefit enormously. I strongly believe in this as I have seen perceptions that different race/language/culture can bring to table.

Actually for korean companies vs american companies you have to understand that english is a world language but korean isn't. There are many non whites and asians living in the US that understand american culture but it's not the same for korea.

The boss was from HK and the chefs are all from HK,,and the senior waiter there was an ang mor,,the boss also quite take care of him,,,as he is a good worker,,but the boss told me that when the ang mor 1st started work there,,some of the chinese guests dont like the idea of the ang mor working there,,,and seems he also got tekan sometimes by the guest.

So even if the chinese owner hire ang mor...the guests also dont like it,,but I think things are changing in ang mor land,,,now more and more ang mor working for traditional chinese places,,like chinese shops etc,,,

Jah, taking your Canada example, if a Chinese rest. in Toronto only hire Chinese, that is not racism, but if McDonald refuse to hire Chinese, it is.

See this shows that Chinese restaurants aren't racist it's just that non Chinese won't want to work there. Well the opinions of the guests don't reflect the management but it's normal. A Chinese guy works in a Russian restaurant what will the russian guests say? What will the Indian guests say of a Chinese waiter working there. Mind you the only Ang moh places that are
multi ethnic are English speaking ones. Others like Italians, Greeks Russians are fiercely ethnic and might discriminate but I think that's fine cos only Chinese ppl can be accused of racism.
