Woman suspect arrested for murder in Geylang

SINGAPORE: Police have arrested a 28-year-old woman suspect in connection with a murder in Geylang on Tuesday night.

Police said they were informed of the incident at 7.40pm.

The murder occurred on the fourth floor of an apartment block at 11 Lorong 9 Geylang.

The victim was pronounced dead at 8.39pm.

Channel NewsAsia understands that the suspect is believed to be the victim's roommate.

Police said investigations are ongoing.

The area has the cheapest hotel rates around. It's also near to conveniences such as food & MRT. The closer you get to the Orchard area the more expensive the rates. When you compare the prices it's like under $100 vs $200+ .
