Quit rare in fact first time the center square is unoccupied here since mall reopened from 1 yr plus total shutdown period.

No one seems to want to rent it for Xmas Road Show Sale. Only the cheapest side Ares got rented out.

christmas decor is a wee bit too half-hearted and sparse. never been to sengkang mall. it’s too remote and unknown since there are already 696 malls in sg. first question: is there a good quality food court serving at least hainanese coolie lice on the uppermost floor? if not its fate is doomed.

Compass Point , now known as COMPASS ONE, after a re-naming exercise competition that went flat like a wet fire crackers. It had some life & crowd when it was known as "point" & after refurbishment to "ONE" & Metro Departmental Stores closed, the shopping mall has lost its lustre & crowds. One of the reason was there are quite a few malls in Sengkang/Punggol Areas, to name a few, Rivervale Mall, Rivervale Plaza, Waterway Point, Punggol Plaza....Seletar Mall etc...not to mention, others around there ...like Hougang ONE...etc

Compass ONE used to be one of the only medium size mall area around there & with Metro as anchor tenant, it pulls in the crowds...nowadays, you go to one MALL, you would have been to the rest, for the shops there, 'are the usual suspects' of retailers, like Starbucks, Subways, Cotton On, etc... Harvey Norman, Courts etc.. same mix everywhere.

It is not a big surprised that...Compass One, is almost empty...they are hardly the only ONE!

This mall has the MRT & LRT & Bus interchange directly built inside and plus directly building condo on top of it.

This mall has future. Business wil boom when sengkang hospital, just opposite, starts operation next year. Singaporean favorite pastime is see doctor, stay hospital, visit patient and shopping.

Ground floor facing main Empty can't believe it!! 2nd floor there are still empty outlet No takers!! There are more retirees than younger shoppers how to survive? NTUC food fare isn't any food fare at all bloody food is expensive & Lousy!! Capitalized and Monopolized by NTUC no hawker centre no wet market! peasants living there are pressed by the balls by NTUC!! PAP let NTUC (PAP inside) monopolized!

The foodcourt on the first floor originally ran by a private operator, the chicken rice was not too bad, the 'chai png' was reasonably good, the fish soup, so was the roast meats ( duck, pork, chicken etc) , and a western food stall too, was ok. Then 'you know who' took over & later, they refurbished the whole building & now the food court is on ground level run by FOODFARCE....expensive & overpriced & overhyped. Have not been there for a while, UOB is still there, MacDonald's, Subway I bet...& is Long John Silvers still around? Not to mentioned the every mall is almost the same, " Bread Talk"!?

The shopping malls in singapore are like its HDB estates-they all look the same and have the same owners/tenants.
If you go to these HDB estates mall, you will find the shoppers are mostly locals (with low purchasing power) while the foreign talents Pinoy, Indian Ft's and PRC's prefer Orchard, Little India or Chinatown areas.
The most popular shop in the heartland malls would be Daiso -selling things at $2 and you find these supposedly world/1st class locals buying all the cheap stuff there while wondering when they will lose their jobs to foreigners.
Anyway most locals are not Christians and so why should they bother about X'mas?
