Serious PHV take down few Pinoy roaches at Lucky Plaza.

If that driver had been on a PMD and had crashed through the same barrier chances are the only death would be his own and he would have deserved it.
New cars with pedestrian detection and full auto brake would have avoided such incidents.

If the driver had been using a PMD instead none of this carnage would have occurred.

This is why we need to crack down on car ownership and encourage PMD use instead.
Its time to increase coe price by 3X

Lucky plaza should change name

Feel sad for the dead maids. They had a bright future ahead of them. Many weekends of hanging out with their sisters at Orchard Road, many Jollibee Chickenjoys waiting for them to makan. :frown:

Should have installed speed bumps along Jalan Kayu Manis, especially when it is a downward slope leading towards Lucky Plaza.

Singapore also lost 2 helpers for our NSmen.....

He got the maids?
He should have aimed for those PMET job snatchers.

Hard to tell who is who these days.

Anyway Lucky Plaza is filled with maids (and sometimes nurses), the PMETs usually hang out at a more atas place e.g. Dempsey Hill.

May the families of the deceased stay strong during this difficult times.

Somehow I would imagine that the driver could be driving down Jln Kayu Manis at a high speed, turning left into Nutmeg Road, lost control of his vehicle and hit the group of people before breaking the railings and falling onto the road below. Quite unlikely to be on Nutmeg Rd and then making a sharp right swerve to result in this accident, right?
Driving speed too fast
Turning left steering wheel speed too slow and maybe using only hand hence unable to turn fully while in high speed.
Other hand on phone .

Strange... not a PMD in sight and yet I see absolute carnage.

Perhaps the authorities have banned the wrong mode transport. The elephant in the room is the 4 wheeled behemoth also known as a "car".

The elephant in the room is people. Just ban people and there will be no accident.

The government banned ALL PMDs not just the reckless riders. Same logic should apply to cars ie ban the whole lot because of a few reckless drivers.

Of course not and the reason has nothing to do with safety it's because of the worldwide norm of politicians never to pass any laws that will adversely affect them personally.

If Singapore MPs had to use PMDs to get around I can guarantee you they would never have been banned.

It's a steep downward slope, even if you don't want to drive fast the speed would be naturally fast.
