The older generations leaderships didn't have such problem. The younger ones are now too weak and no stamina.

Plenty of Sporeans are getting ailments like heart problems, cancer,..... Etc just go to the Hospitals & poly clinics & you will see the Long queues.

Probably due to poor diet & poor life style. Also have to wonder about the unhealthy environment in Spore e.g. PAP allowing radioactive rice from Japan, bad air quality That is the norm, fluoride in our water, sick buildings,...

The members of the US cabinet deal with bigger problems and they don't collapse, and they aren't even paid half as much. Some of them even older than our guys. I am sympathetic of course but people need to manage themselves. Even Obama can take a vacation, surely LHL can.

Singaporeans are ageing and yes, environment is stressful, eating out is prevalent and materialism is not balanced with spirituality in our culture. We are becoming like Americans but without their resources, frrdom and horizons. Tough.

Frankly I think they are indeed exhausted. They have been chasing their tails on so many issues that they have lost controls of the organs of State. We get so much publicity on AHTC, SMT, foreigners, loss of jobs for locals, lift breakdowns etc not because they are all important but the failure of the govt to steer the ship.

Can you imagine the PM wondering every night if Temasek has become such a hot potato and how he can handle it without upsetting members of his own family and keeping a straight face during cabinet meetings. No human can take such a strain and this man has the best medical care.

When old man delivered his NDR, you can tell that he was full of adrenalin and every comment he made and every point he made however controversial just increased his adrenalin.

Look at the NDR yesterday - it was flogging a dead horse - no ideas at all. Look at the main points - he wants Singaporeans to count our blessings. WTF. We are in a hole the size of it we never had before.

Yes, MPs are overworked because they have to be real estate managers and have to cater to their constituents fancies and problems. I thought MPs are law makers who really have to be concerned abt the strategic well being of SG and its laws and not be worried abt lift breakdowns, dirty dustbins, clogged drains, street lamps, etc. PAP is overworked and is reaping its own misdeeds to burden MPs with municipal duties.
