What the fuck you talking about? I am not talking about imposing Chinese culture and language onto other races, I am talking about the Chinese here should have basic proficiency in the Chinese language, that makes me a supremist? What is wrong with learning one's language and culture in a multi-racial country? Why would respecting and upholding one's language and culture leads to racial riot? i think pap is more pragmatic than anti chinese. it also has a tendency to be radical in the pursuit of its goals. as english was the working language when it started to build singapore economy it relegated the chinese language so that singaporeans could focus solely on english language. now that china is rising as an economic power, pap has been trying to push the people to master the chinese language. it is unable to achieve much as that language has been lost to a generation!
