Owner loses 5-room HDB flat after renting it out illegally

You missed the target completely. Ask yourself why a small country like Brunei, don't even have tanks, or a jet fighter or NS, and yet they are sitting on billions of dollars of oil and natural gas. Why are they not afraid of invasion? But why we have nothing and yet are armed to the teeth? Our SAF equipment and training bears no resemblance to fighting in an urban environment. It's designed as an offensive weapon. Now ask yourself how much money FamiLee is getting to run this protection racket for the Brunei royal family.
While Brunei is a small nation, it does have naval vessels, armoured vehicles, but not large numbers of main battle tanks and air force capabilities. Even though its armed forces is not as large or advanced as some others in ASEAN, it is inaccurate to state they have nothing. LOL!

Brunei's location and terrain present challenges for potential invaders. I guess you didn't know that either.

Being a member of ASEAN provides some collective security for Brunei. Your statement that Brunei is not afraid of invasion is an assumption; every country has to consider its security.

You offer no evidence to support the claim of a "protection racket" or that "FamiLee" is receiving money from the Brunei royal family. This is a defamatory claim.

Wow, that's a harsh lesson! Renting out an HDB without approval is risky. Makes you wonder about the tenants involved too. This highlights the importance of following regulations. I hope the owner finds a way forward. I’ve had great experiences with tripalink customer service though, they are always responsive and helpful. They really take care of everything when it comes to leasing, which is a relief.

go to sengkang, punngol alot lah. whole fucking unit rented out to ceca and families

Only in SG you can “own” a property subjected to “good behaviour” clauses.

That is because the buyers are only "lessees" (tenants) and not owners, while the HDB is the "lessor" or landlord.
Exactly…pay property tax and must pay for upgrades to their leased properties. No title deeds to their “ownership” status and need permission to renovate and pay for car park space.

property agents dun care la, just a fine, chicken feet for them. Singapore real estate trade is like a wild wild west, do all the bad stuffs, just dont get caught. if got caught, only a fine

Housing Board flats, which are subsidised by the Govt, are community properties sold under lease agreements that contain an assortment of rights that fall short of full ownership. This legal void leaves residents of HDB units with a great deal of limitations over their rights.
