Marcus Chin splits with young wife

Local celebrity arcus Chin has split with his wife, who is 32 years his junior.
A well-known actor, host and radio DJ, Marcus' union with his much younger wife, Xie Yi Ling, 27, had made the news three years ago due to their massive age difference.
At the time, many had criticised Marcus for leaving his longtime wife Murong Ying, for a much younger woman.
Just three years later, Marcus, 59, revealed to Shin Min Daily News that he has split with Xie.
He also admitted that their massive age difference had been a source of friction in their relationship.
He recounted to Shin Min reporters that Xie had been very caring and gentle before, but began to show a foul temper after she gave birth to their daughter.
Thinking it might have been post-natal blues, Marcus had put up with it but the situation did not improve.
Now that the two have gone separate ways, Marcus' friends have also come out to criticise Xie, according to Shin Min Daily News.
One of them told reporters that Xie had asked for Marcus to buy her an apartment, a car, branded bags, Rolex watches, and even to invest in her sister's boutique.
Now Xie is leaving Marcus broke and burdened with supporting two families.
Despite being single now, Marcus must continue to pay his previous wife, Mdm Murong, $4,000 in alimony every month.
He must also continue to take care of Xie and their daughter by paying her $4,000 a month.
On top of that, Marcus must continue to pay the loans on the homes of both women.
To do that, Marcus' friends in showbiz have already noticed that Marcus is even more hardworking than before.
One commented that Marcus is already taking on more jobs while slashing his fees to attract even more offers.
Despite this, Marcus still hopes to reconcile with Xie and let their daughter, now 2, grow up with a complete family.
