Hiya is it just me or do you guys notice that most of the old folks that pick up aluminium cans in waste bins to recycle are mostly chinese? Don't get me wrong seen 1 or 2 other races doing it but 99% of them are chinese old folks. Why do they need to do it? Are their financial planning so bad that at later years they have no money or is their family so bad that they need to do such things just to feed themselves 3 meals a day?
I have come across an old lady who was my neighbour in my former home in Yishun. Every morning I see him going to work in long sleeve clean shirts with a branded tie and driving off to work in a BM. His daughter studies in a JC ( not sure which 1 with light blue uniform ). Comes noon this old lady would go down to the local food court finding for aluminium cans and eating off the leftovers on the tables.
Now my question is why? Why is it that most of these old people that are doing it are chinese? How come I don't see other races doing it? If any of you feel offended that I bring up a race issue let me say I am sorry 1st but let me tell you I have no intend for this to be a race issue.
