The other two very competent police officers would be Leo Yip and Eric Tan. Never worked with Heng Swee Keat or the other Heng - Chee How. Many have also agreed that Benny Lim is one who will never turn away those who come to him for help, more so if it is a matter which will have an effect and bearing on him.

Many sought BL's advice on work and non-work related matters. One even asked for advice on what else he needs to do to get promoted! He was BL's squadmate. Have to disagree on your last sentence. I doubt if BL cares if a matter affects him personally or his bearing being affected. In a capsule, he is just helpful to all who seeks his advice. Btw, I have nothing to gain from praising some individuals here. Just being brutally frank.

Bro, I was shocked to see NSS made director CNB. The most colourless individual whose forte over the years was to attend seminars and conferences and deliver speeches on behalf of Dept Head. I think they could not pull out anyone else at short notice.

I have checked around. It is a straight forward case. Whoever slept with his woman and if she revealed their identity, they were goners as she was dealing with Govt contracts. It was unfortunate that these chaps ended up in this. Peter lim is well regarded and he is going to pay a heavy price. The consolation is that both are not on pensionable service. So their nestegg is safe. Just early reitirement.

@ Scroobal I am merely relating what I have picked up from many sources regarding this case. I have also never ruled out the possibility of the female connection to this case. However, I am of the opinion that there is something more this case than the wine, women & song angle.

I will like to state that I and many others are of the opinion that the matter against Ng Boon Gay is as what I have contributed in my post. Some of you may not agree but that is perfectly fine with me as your opinions and information regarding this case may differ from mine.

Finally, a point to ponder in most corruption cases involving civil servants, there is always the giver, the taker and accomplices. In the case of Peter Lim, MSM has reported that 6 other SCDF officers were also involved in the CPIB. Yet, in the case of Ng Boon Gay, he seems to be lone player in this matter.

The source that is talking to the press is from SCDF. He has no clue what else CPIB is doing. He has no idea about the other series of arrest. The source does not even know that the report was lodged against the husband. Source was not even aware that NBG was arrested first.

Believe me there is no conspiracy. It was a straight forward case. The 2 clowns were named by the woman. Before the press came to know, the decision was made to go for PSC disciplinary process. Since the press came to know and sought clarificatiion, the decison to go ahead was made by Minister and PS who are new and have no baggage. I also suspect that transparency is an issue due to the salary debacle. There is also the possibility that others arrested might actually be charged in court and these things would have surfaced in court.

Conspiracy theories are part and parcel of all organisation and I am completely aware that in the civil service its even worse. The office boy will be telling his wife how the chief clerk favours the other office boy who is from his kampong, to an Admin Officer complaining that his slot at Tanjung Course was taken away by other influential members of Alpha Society.

NBG and PL are not a threat to Eric Tan or BL. The latter 2 are on a completely different pathways. It serves no purpose to them and it certainly does not benefit their career.

The questions are very simple.

1) Did these 2 chaps put their tool in her.
2) And did they realise that she was dealing with govt contracts
3) Did they realise that they have been compromised or put in position of potential compromise
4) Why did she sleep with these not exactly handsome chaps

Do you really expect the CPIB to bury this?

Do you expect SIngaporeans to tolerate this stuff.

People in the civil service like people elsewhere in the wider world have flings and extramarital affairs. But you overstep the mark when there is clear conflict of interest.

Scroobal, I used to respect you until your latest post. I choose to believe you're not a dog of ISD/Benny, but just being fed wrong intel, so typical of an Intel Black Ops. You said here and in the other thread "Update on the 2 MHA clowns and the woman":

Except the last point, the rest are totally unfounded. Cecilia's husband was not a divorcee. He never worked in the same Japanese company, presumably HDS. In fact, her husband is not from the IT industry at all, and the husband has zero dealing with the public sector. As for the last point, I am unable to verify; but looking at her pictures, I doubt she had plastic surgery before ;-)

This bring me back to my point - "Sex Sells"! *These are the facts to ponder:

(1) Why the focus on sex in MSM and Internet? Even with an experienced contributor like Scroobal trying to steer the issue back to the same subject. Sex sells and it's the best diversion well practiced in Intel Black Ops.

(2) Why zero mention of the arrest and impounding of passports of many other senior officials from SCDF, CNB and other government agencies in this ongoing saga? Do you mean there's a lady that had sex with dozen of officials?

(3) Why zero*mention of the arrest and impounding of passports of staff from NCS, JOS and others? Why a very senior person from NCS suddenly put on leave? And the urgent hunt for the replacement for this senior position? How about the free iPads from NCS to SCDF, the free F1 tickets, etc.?

(4) Why CPIB send an advisory letter to STE after the latter issued a press release that they're not aware of any of their staff assisting in the ongoing investigation?

(5) Cecilia's photo was for the first time published yesterday in inSing.com, a subsidiary of SingTel. No prize for guessing who owns NCS too. Another diversion tactic.

(6) Why Cecilia, Esther, Kelly, Jenny, Suzanne, Dorothy, Karen and others are targeted then? The IT industry is a cut-throat business. This is the best time for sore losers to destroy their strong competition. It's a free-for-all-annonymous war now. Too bad I wasn't called to the bar, else there're lots of money to be made in the coming defamation suits!

Then again, I may be wrong. I am only seeing a small piece of the bigger puzzle.

I would certainly like to see the place cleaned up if there is indeed a rot. There have been a perception that things are squeakly clean for too long. There has got to be proper accountability and transarency.

PSC needs to up their game as well by publishing figures of superscale disciplinary cases, something they already with timescale staff. Why the need to hide it.

Frankly there are very little difference people who sell used cars and those who sell high end tech tools and applications. Its a dirty business. Had a niece in Pharmaceuticals sales and she quit when she realised what some of her colleagues had to do. Its indeed a harsh world.

Aurvandil reminded us of red-herrings, discrediting online forums, work of intel, PAP, WP etc. Are these longish post really telling us of power struggles and conspiracy theories or merely a veil for the rot within the civil service and ruling party?

I am no insider although friends do sometimes share stories. TS said LWH quit but he didn't. He was posted to MICA as DS and then went to Capitaland/China. Both TS and Johnny make it sound as if BL and ET are bosses in a Russian mafia doing as they wish. They are no angels but pretty sure corruption investigations are not ran like that. NBG unlikely the person who really uncovered the error in drug statistics, it was probably one of his deputies. Which director would scrutinize years of data? And if BL was no longer favoured, he wouldn't make his way to PMO where he has access to even more issues that cut across ministries and people.

As I have said, Scroobal's account is more believable. Justice and Johnny are trying to spin their stories to either attack/protect someone. Affairs are frowned upon but affairs with someone you deal with professionally and financially is a CPIB case. ET trying to do his job and he is already at the pinnacle of his career as CPIB chief. ET was an IO. BL an AO. NBG a PO and PL from SCDF. Their paths don't seem to cross. The people who benefit most from this saga are actually the new CNB and SCDF chiefs, don't see anybody trying to pin it on them or their supposed backers?
