I am no insider although friends do sometimes share stories. TS said LWH quit but he didn't. He was posted to MICA as DS and then went to Capitaland/China. Both TS and Johnny make it sound as if BL and ET are bosses in a Russian mafia doing as they wish. They are no angels but pretty sure corruption investigations are not ran like that. NBG unlikely the person who really uncovered the error in drug statistics, it was probably one of his deputies. Which director would scrutinize years of data? And if BL was no longer favoured, he wouldn't make his way to PMO where he has access to even more issues that cut across ministries and people.

Aurvandil reminded us of red-herrings, discrediting online forums, work of intel, PAP, WP etc. Are these longish post really telling us of power struggles and conspiracy theories or merely a veil for the rot within the civil service and ruling party?

Seng Liang is now a trainer in the Home Team Academy.

Doomedlegion, thanks for your tips, which lead me to confirm earlier info. Took me a few cups of kopi to dig out. I guess you're referring to Cecilia in Oracle. You're spot on about Koh and Lim. They're part of the senior management team that hired Cecilia into Oracle. Cecilia's current manager is RT. RT used to report to Lim. RT was trying to hire Derrick Leau for the same position but was overruled by the senior management. RT is a close buddy of Derrick Leau. They both worked in EMC before. My assessment is RT is harmless but just careless in reveling info to Derrick. This is the same Derrick that lost many deals to Cecilia in the last 4-5 years totaling $6-7M.

Oh, one last thing, Doomedlegion. Are you Koh, Lim, RT or someone from Oracle? Or are you Derrick, who also goes by the name of Lost Soul? *;-)

Scroobal, I used to respect you until your latest post. I choose to believe you're not a dog of ISD/Benny, but just being fed wrong intel, so typical of an Intel Black Ops. You said here and in the other thread "Update on the 2 MHA clowns and the woman":

Except the last point, the rest are totally unfounded. Cecilia's husband was not a divorcee. He never worked in the same Japanese company, presumably HDS. In fact, her husband is not from the IT industry at all, and the husband has zero dealing with the public sector. As for the last point, I am unable to verify; but looking at her pictures, I doubt she had plastic surgery before ;-)

This bring me back to my point - "Sex Sells"! *These are the facts to ponder:

(1) Why the focus on sex in MSM and Internet? Even with an experienced contributor like Scroobal trying to steer the issue back to the same subject. Sex sells and it's the best diversion well practiced in Intel Black Ops.

(2) Why zero mention of the arrest and impounding of passports of many other senior officials from SCDF, CNB and other government agencies in this ongoing saga? Do you mean there's a lady that had sex with dozen of officials?

(3) Why zero*mention of the arrest and impounding of passports of staff from NCS, JOS and others? Why a very senior person from NCS suddenly put on leave? And the urgent hunt for the replacement for this senior position? How about the free iPads from NCS to SCDF, the free F1 tickets, etc.?

(4) Why CPIB send an advisory letter to STE after the latter issued a press release that they're not aware of any of their staff assisting in the ongoing investigation?

(5) Cecilia's photo was for the first time published yesterday in inSing.com, a subsidiary of SingTel. No prize for guessing who owns NCS too. Another diversion tactic.

(6) Why Cecilia, Esther, Kelly, Jenny, Suzanne, Dorothy, Karen and others are targeted then? The IT industry is a cut-throat business. This is the best time for sore losers to destroy their strong competition. It's a free-for-all-annonymous war now. Too bad I wasn't called to the bar, else there're lots of money to be made in the coming defamation suits!

Then again, I may be wrong. I am only seeing a small piece of the bigger puzzle.

I have to agree GD.

BL is very impressive. He is able to communicate effectively with people from all levels and had excellent memory. He was said to be considered a legend as he is able to raise up to PS from the rank of police constable. Those who were with him in 'C' Division would know.

Photographic memory. Not only mixes well with people from all levels, he even humbles himself before them! Always praising his subordinates all the time. Sometimes, I wonder if it is superficial.

He helped many in the past. If not for him, some would have been in jail. He has a soft spot for the underdog, under-privileged and handicapped. One of the few who deserve his salary when it comes to work. Yes, WKS and Shan left things in BL's good hands to enjoy their sleep.

At end of 2010, he took over the helm at CNB from Ng Say Liang. The then DD CNB, Ng Ser Song also left CNB to be Director CID. My sources also tell me that whilst Ng Ser Song was DD CNB, it was he who was running the whole show at CNB (including collating drug statistics) and not Ng Say Liang as the latter was already on retirement mode.

Should be Ng Seng Liang. Ng Ser Song was never DCID. DD CID.



Some CNB officers I spoke to, say that Ng Ser Song did not have a healthy relationship with the men in CNB due to his authoritative nature.

Not only CNB officers. I dare say all those who worked under him.



From what I gather, Benny Lim is NOW not exactly a favourite among the current Cabinet, this is due the fact that his brother Raymond Lim and his former boss and in many ways, benefactor former DPM and MHA Minister Wong Kan Seng had stood down from their Cabinet positions, partly in due to their dismal performance and growing public sentiment against them.

Both father and son views him very favourably. LKY in the late 80s commented positively on BL when he was briefed. Smiley Sim 'siamed' these difficult assignments, being not so eloquent.



Fortunately for Benny Lim, his protégé, Eric Tan is Dir CPIB which also comes under purview of the PMO. Eric Tan is a very close and loyal friend of Benny Lim. In fact, Eric Tan has been overheard as saying that he will gladly lay his life down for Benny Lim.

I did leave SG, a few months after completion of my final exams (graduation) and working several months, reservist training, but before convocation, for Toronto, with two suit cases and $1,500, without knowing a single person in Toronto. However, compared to and relative to my schoolmates, I am one of the least financially successful (may be not as bright, may be not as well connected in Canada, may be the much higher income tax rates, etc.).

I will be privileged and honoured to meet with you folks for a meal and/or a drink. I love to eat, and whereas others eat to live, I live to eat. However over the past few years, my weight has decreased from 152 pounds to 138 pounds, for my 5 ft 9 inch body with reasonably well defined muscles.

For the ambitious SAF officer - say formation commanding officer, one way to shine is to use your imagination and then write a fancy paper to commission a pie in the sky project for the other plebs in MINDEF to take a stab at it. Then the gravy train starts to run and run and after three years or so, you get posted out to some other place and hand over the stinkbomb to the incoming officer while you can write in your KPI that you demonstrated drive and determination by starting this stellar project...

This is not even a secret. Most NSmen joke regularly about it.

Let's be honest. If they spend their time digging through MINDEF, they will still be digging till the sun goes nova and our bones are cold.

@ Golden Dragon I agree that Benny Lim has remarkable personal qualities and excellent people skills, which is why he is what he is today.
Also you are right about Ser Song not being Dir CID, he was only DD CID. My apologies for the error. By the way, may I ask, do you know Benny Lim on a professional or personal capacity as you seem to have a lot of intimate knowledge about this man and IMO, admire his qualities.

From my observation, you also mentioned and agree that when Benny Lim was PS MHA, both former Minister Wong Kan Seng and then MHA Minister K Shanmugam left the running of MHA to Benny Lim.

Now, I am somewhat uncomfortable with that revelation and thought as being Ministers, they should ultimately shoulder responsibility and have ministerial oversight over their respective Ministries not just in political matters but also in operational & policy issues.

@ Scroobal I am merely relating what I have picked up from many sources regarding this case. I have also never ruled out the possibility of the female connection to this case. However, I am of the opinion that there is something more this case than the wine, women & song angle.

Scroobal, you are right about Ng Ser Song not registering on anyone's radar, but from what I gather, Ng Ser Song looks up to Benny Lim and from time to time seeks Benny Lim’s advice and at times assistance. Many have also agreed that Benny Lim is one who will never turn away those who come to him for help, more so if it is a matter which will have an effect and bearing on him.

I will like to state that I and many others are of the opinion that the matter against Ng Boon Gay is as what I have contributed in my post. Some of you may not agree but that is perfectly fine with me as your opinions and information regarding this case may differ from mine.

Finally, a point to ponder in most corruption cases involving civil servants, there is always the giver, the taker and accomplices. In the case of Peter Lim, MSM has reported that 6 other SCDF officers were also involved in the CPIB. Yet, in the case of Ng Boon Gay, he seems to be lone player in this matter.
