Minister of Transport Chee Hong Tat said in a Facebook post on Sept 25 that LTA will do a thorough investigation on the incident and identify areas for improvement.

He said the team from SMRT and LTA “will assess and confirm during engineering hours tonight” whether normal train service can resume on Sept 26.

The problem is the infrastructure cannot support the population. So they will never solve the problem if the root cause is not eliminated.
