Let's get Lewandowski! :D

Latest news : BVB is not keen to sell Lewandoski ha ha ha

Man U is not cash rich like Chelsea and City where they buy players to bench them. :D They can use the money to buy a good play maker to replace veteran Scholes.

In the Barclays Premier League, top clubs either work on rotation or players have to fight for their starting place. In other leagues, Messi, CR7, Lewandoski, Cavani are regular starters.

If they want to be a regular starter they will have to prove their worth. We are talking about Manchester United Football Club not Liverfool FC, ok? :D

Beaten again by le blue once again. If United wants to remain top dog next season, they will need to overhaul the midfield and it's time old fart do a mass culling starting with these midfielders.

1.A Young
2. Nani
3. Anderson
4.Valencia-Best player for United last season and the worst this season. How on earth did this player achieved that within a space of 2 seasons is beyond me.
5. Scholes
6. Giggs-Only reason why he's hanging on to this fella is his ability to pass and cross accurately.
7. Rooney-Awful is way to mild to describe this bloke. He's lost his will and determination to play.

Jones and Cleverley increasingly looks like shitty deals. Among the top 4 in the premier league, United has one of the weakest midfield assembly. No chance of them retaining the title if they choose to just 'tweak' the squad.

Kns, under performed. Wasted my outing, hoping against hope that this would be a grudge match.

That chelski goal was worth CL qualification milions :p

Many have underperformed in the final third of the season. Some didn't even show up at the start of the season. These players ought to have a good look at themselves and ask if they're worthy to put on the colors of the club.

Play with pride!!! After all, fans paid good money to lend their voices and support the club. Sigh.....

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson is reportedly ready to announce his retirement from the Old Trafford hotseat this week, according to The Telegraph and The Times.

Ferguson, 71, is the longest-serving manager in English football having been at the United helm for a trophy-laden 27 years.

However, speculation about his possible retirement has regularly appeared in recent years and returned in the wake of the Premier League champions' confirmation that Ferguson requires surgery on his hip this summer.

Those rumours gained momentum on Tuesday, with a United golf day allegedly overshadowed by speculation about the Scot's future.

Both The Times and The Telegraph cite sources close to the first-team squad saying that the United players have been told to ready themselves for a "significant announcement" from their manager.
As of Tuesday night, the club had failed to respond to requests to confirm or deny the reports about Ferguson's future, although New York Stock Exchange rules mean the club will have to inform them of such a significant development. If continued news speculation does affect trading, United may have to issue guidance to investors.

Bookmakers did close markets on Ferguson's retirement, as well as David Moyes being his immediate successor. It has also been mooted, however, that any announcement may just see a stand-in installed until the 71-year-old recovers from a July hip operation around the end of August.

United have long been attempting to put a framework in place so that the succession is as smooth as possible - and avoids the chaos of the post-Matt Busby era, when the legendary manager moved into a director of football role before later returning to take the managerial reins.

A pre-Christmas board meeting led to an understanding that Ferguson would not leave until 2015, and Ferguson recently stated that he will not be vacating his position with the Red Devils anytime soon.

However, there have already been informal meetings with potential future candidates. Ferguson, David Gill and one of the Glazer family met Pep Guardiola in New York in October, before the Catalan agreed to take over at Bayern Munich.

Despite Ferguson's personal enthusiasm about the future appointment of Guardiola, he is known to have been a huge admirer of Moyes and feels he has many of the qualities necessary to take over at Old Trafford.

Jose Mourinho is not expected to be in the frame, though, with a high-ranking Stamford Bridge source telling ESPN that the the Portuguese is "virtually certain" to replace Rafael Benitez in the next two months, and there is too little leverage room for United to attempt any kind of late high-profile coup. However, it is understood that Roman Abramovich is balking at paying any buy-out clause, which may leave an opening for United.

Ferguson announced his intention to retire in 2002 before changing his mind and going on to win a further six Premier League titles, with this year's championship crown his 13th in all with the club.

Everton line up Martinez as Manchester United-bound Moyes replacement

The Merseyside club have already identified the Wigan manager as a replacement for the long-serving Scot, who is due to announced as Sir Alex Ferguson's successor

Everton have made Roberto Martinez their No.1 target to replace Manchester United-bound David Moyes, Goal.com can reveal.

The Wigan manager is the Merseysiders' standout choice to take over from the Scot, who is poised to bring an end to his 11-year reign at Goodison Park.

Everton have been preparing for the possibility of Moyes's departure at the end of the season for months given his failure to commit to negotiations to extend a contract that expires this summer.

Chairman Bill Kenwright is also an admirer of Porto manager Vitor Pereira, who was a guest of the club at a Premier League match over the Christmas period, but the Toffees will move first for Martinez if, as expected, Moyes takes over from Sir Alex Ferguson at Old Trafford.

As revealed by Goal.com, the 50-year-old Scot has agreed a deal to become the new United boss and is set to be appointed by the end of the week, possibly even within 24 hours of Sir Alex's announcement.

Although Kenwright claimed in an interview in April that no plans are in place for what would be the club's first change of manager in 11 years, it is understood that a shortlist of possible successors has been compiled, with Martinez's name at the top.

The 39-year-old Spaniard is much admired by Everton chiefs for maintaining Wigan's Premier League status since joining the north-west club from Swansea City in the summer of 2009.

He will lead the Latics out in Saturday's FA Cup final against Manchester City on Saturday but the club are on the brink of losing the top-flight spot that they have held for nine seasons following Tuesday's 3-2 home defeat to the Swans.

It was a defeat that leaves Wigan three points adrift of safety with a trip to Arsenal and a home fixture against Aston Villa to come.

Martinez held talks with Liverpool last summer before rejecting the opportunity to succeed Kenny Dalglish after refusing to work under a planned tier of executives with shared control of recruiting players.

He is believed to regard Everton as an attractive post, given the foundations put in place by Moyes in recent years.

Unsure of Moyes fellow (front runner?). Astute with Everton, but think shoes too BIG for him. Charisma, ego also needed to run red devils in OT
