Mk Dons 4 - 0 Man Utd

This is the new low. Moyes never lost more than 3 goals in all his games ended in defeat. LvG is really making Moyes looks good.

When i looked at the line ups, i rubbed my hands with glee. Clearly LVG is not interested in the Capital One cup.

Even if LVG fielded a strong line up, i do not expect a sure victory from Man U as MK Dons are no push over.

Since LVG fielded fringe players and rested key players, i expect a good showing from them against Burnley.

Applies to all games. Best is to check the line up 30 minutes before game starts as media reports can be inaccurate or coaches can make last minutes changes.

I think it is better not to hope for what he did with Barcelona. He left them 3 points above relegation that season he was sacked if I am not wrong. Also need to know that his prior successes in club football are all from taking over clubs in good health and built on it. Man Utd need to be rebuild, not build upon.

I am trying not to judge him too early but the results so far is not encouraging. Seeing no sign of any improvement and those players signed are all overpriced!

Luke Shaw worth 34m GBP? Di Maria worth 60m GBP? With Shaw and Rojo, clearly he is sticking to his 3-4-1-2 system. If so, how would Di Maria fit in? Drop Mata and play him behind Rooney and vanPersie? Or play him as a right wingback?

We can only hope LVG doesn't get too hung up and fixated on systems. I think he's looking at players that can adapt and change. With the lot in the middle, he's unlikely to get what he wants. It makes no sense to me to continue with the 3-4-1-2 system when you dun have the tools. With Di Maria it opens up another option. The width Di Maria and Valencia provide will likely unlock the opponents defence line.

The problem with United is in the middle both at defence and midfield. With the current crop of jokers, we'll likely setting ourselves up for further humiliation. The arrival of Blind and hopefully Vidal, it will help LVG move closer to his much preferred 3-4-1-2 system. There will be more pain before any gain but once rooted, I believe we're off to the races.

Giggs input will be crucial in shaping the team. He knows the players very well and he knows for a fact Rooney is a better midfielder than a striker.

Juve holding out for big money. Vidal's injury is similar to Hargreaves and there's been some report that the treatment on his damaged meniscus was hurried. So its a big risk as he could very well end up like Hargreaves. Vidal hustles very well and he can play both defence and offense. Even if moves to OT, I dun think he will start. If United dun get Vidal this season, I doubt he will ever come to OT.

REAL has sold Alonso, a defensive midfielder which leaves them with only Khedira. REAL will likely make a move for a similar type of player if they underachieve this season.

Dun know why they're slow with the Blind transfer. Versatile player that can fit in defence and midfield. We have two 'experience' players in the center-Jones and Smalling. They're injury prone and are more likely to prolong their experience in the sick bay. Dun count on them.

For 3-4-1-2 or 3-5-2 to work, you need versatile players. Di Maria can fit on the left or right midfield. He can even play in the center or Mata's position. What LVG wants is versatility and high work rate players. As he has said b4, we could end up with too many specialist which makes it difficult for managers to tinker with various formations. I dun think he will stick to 3-5-2 system for all of the games but it will be an added advantage if they know how to go about it.

Basically he's trying to break the more conservative mould of a 4 backline and he's determined to do it. For 3-5-2 to work you need a defensive midfield stopper to cover cuz if the opponents gets thru the middle, it will open up our defence. Carrick will fit that role but United needs another. Whatever happens in the transfer market, they need a player of that calibre now and not later. Go back to Sporting if Juve refuse to relent.

The strategy that has worked well for United in the past is 4-4-2, with two overlapping defenders(left and right) supporting the attack.

FAT CHANCER! Roy Hodgson's blast at out of shape Man United star Luke ShawROY HODGSON has astonishingly revealed he had to lecture £30m Luke Shaw about his fitness at the World Cup.

The England boss also disclosed his physio Gary Lewin had words with the Manchester United left-back, who was picked for Brazil ahead of the 107-times capped Ashley Cole.

And previous boss Mauricio Pochettino at Southampton also knew about Shaw's problems with staying in tip-top shape, Hodgson added.

New United boss Louis van Gaal ordered 19-year-old Shaw to train alone on the club's pre-season tour in the US.

"He needs to be fit and he is not very fit and fit enough to do what I want," the Dutchman said at the time.

Shaw has yet to make his United debut due to a hamstring injury he suffered as he did the extra work-outs in the States to improve his conditioning.

What's more outrageous is paying an obscene amount of money to Rooney, then porlumpar him by making him club ambassador and captain.

His existence is stunting Mata and Kagawa. Should have sold Rooney and bought another quality striker.

Burnley manager Sean Dyche will restore a host of players rested for the League Cup defeat by Sheffield Wednesday. Aside from Sam Vokes, Dyche should have a fully fit squad available to him.

Midfielder Angel Di Maria is set to make his debut for Manchester United following his £59.7m British transfer record signing from Real Madrid. Fellow new recruit Marcos Rojo is still awaiting clearance on a work permit so may have to wait until after the international break to make his bow.

Burnley lost at home to Sheffield Wednesday on Tuesday night, making it three defeats in three games so far. After games against Chelsea, Swansea and Wednesday, there have been a few gleeful suggestions that playing against United represents Burnley's best bet yet of breaking that duck.

Of course, Argentines Angel Di Maria and Marcos Rojo have arrived at Old Trafford, taking the club's summer spending beyond £130m. Di Maria's British record fee is 40 times greater than the cost of Burnley's most expensive current player and could probably buy Sean Dyche's entire squad.

Not if he's growing sideways. I believe Rooney's contract will be his last with Utd. If he doesn't shape up and show consistency, LVG will surely ship him out. I'll rejoice when that happens.

We've been hearing the 'overpaid' tune ad nauseam but if you do the math, Pool is paying a lot more for their new signings in terms of wages. Transfer fees are one time payment but wages for players will last for the duration of the contract. Lawrie should just STFU if he doesn't know how to do his sums.

Funny enough, United is desperate to take the wages of the 'unwanted' players off their books. If they rid off Anderson,Kagawa, Cleverley, Welbeck and Hernandez, the savings will be huge.

I wouldn't bet on Utd winning this one either as morale among players could hit an all time low.
