SUBANG JAYA, May 8 — An elderly man died after he was attacked by a pit bull while jogging in his housing area here today.

Yip Sun Wah, 74, died at the scene after the dog bit him on the neck in the 9am incident, according to a report in The Star Online.

The dog ran out of a house in Jalan SS19/5B and attacked Yip, said the report, adding that workers from the Subang Jaya Municipal Council have captured the animal.

The dog looks more like an English Bull Terrier rather than a pit bull. This is a pit bull and they are banned in Singapore and Malaysia.

Jogger mauled to death by pit bull in Subang Jaya

KUALA LUMPUR, Wed. - A senior citizen's morning jog came to a fatal end when he was attacked and mauled to death by a pitbull in Subang Jaya.

According to The Star daily, the dog ran out of its owner's house in Jalan SS19/5B at 9:50am and attacked 74-year-old Yip Sun Wah. It bit Yip on the neck, almost tearing off his left ear.

A witness to the incident described the dog as 'aggresive' as it only stopped attacking Yip after he stopped moving.

The newspaper reported that the owner got the dog three months before, after her house had been robbed.
Police meanwhile, have released the the owner, a 25-year-old accountant, after recording her statement.

Subang Jaya OCPD ACP Yahaya Ramli was quoted as saying she had a licence to keep the dog.

The animal allegedly escaped the house through a loosely-secured rubbish compartment door.

The dog has been sent to the Shah Alam Municipal Council and will be tested for any disease.

Ram dont like this type of dog. This type of dog is not nice to eat. The meat is too tough.

bro thats a pitbull bully ..theres 2 dfferent type of pits ...one type look like a stray dog the other type which is that one muscular type ...but the one in the photo not very nice ....the head too small ...the one i breeding got bigger skull and bones . guess its not champion breed .

For small size dog, which would you recommend? I need one that is not lazy(I have seen dogs just lie there the whole day) but not too active (some dogs are hyper active)
