This is not about if a cina can become PM etc .it's about the bumi policies itself. I have always assumed that all Malays are bumis and in turn get bumi benefits...but the fact is such benefits are only given to the well connected...so in turn the m&ds are suffering like the other minorities. Why have a policy that help only the kleptocracy?

You buy bumi lot house, you can only sell to another bumi. Very leceh.( cumbersome)
The bumi discount eventually translate into loss when selling. Even bumi with money try not to buy bumi lot and get discount. They buy freehold with no conditions attached,.
Removing bumi lot homes will save developers tons of money snd eventually lead to reduction in cost of development.

About a milion chinese left the country over seversl decades. Many fir some crazy reas9n, place tgeur fsmilies in Australia or elsewhere, but continue to work in the country.
Some even forbid their children to return after completing their education overseas,

The way I see it Malaysians mostly live segregated by race, non bumis and bumis live in respective dominant areas. It’s like bumi live in geylang Serai how difficult it is to resell to another bumi? It’s only an issue if you want to resell to non bumi in a non bumi area but in the first place not many bumis will want to live in non bumi area so the difficulty is mostly borne by the developer that have to somehow convert these bumi units to sell.

Despite the emigration, the Malaysian Chinese population did not shrink but grew over the decades. So it’s not no growth in Chinese population but just not enough to overtake the huge population growth of the Malays with huge family size.
