Sultan of perak is sultan nazrin. I am not so sure but perak sultanate probably last remnant of malacca sultanate.
Perak is one state where both BN and PH including DAP work well together. They booted arrogant lazy bersatu chief minister out many years ago and have been cooperating well.

No Malays want Anwar, that is why they voted BN and PN.
No Chinese want BN PN or any malay based party. So if BN and PH combined to form govt, everybody has been played out both Malays and Chinese.
Next GE will be interesting as retribution to BN and PH will begin.
So who will benefit then?
In the meantime when a sitting MP dies there will be a by election. Straight away BN and PH will be punished and their razor thin majority will crumble.

BN and PH are the only two coalition thst consists of various races.it makes sense for them to work together.
But i heard hard core umno MP's are against working with PH. 2/3 agsinst. Only ten are for PH. Which is stupid as if they join the other malay coalition, they get less say and representation.

As you can see, PH BN gomen received 9 million votes if they were to form a unity gomen and gets just a simple majority of 112 seats despite being overwhelming support.i think parti warisan of sabah msy join them with another 3 seats.
This shows how much more say rural mostly bumi voters have in parliament. Despite getting about same number of votes as PKR, PAS gets 49 seats, pkr, just 31.
