What is so wrong with a 2nd class NS man requesting foreign talent to carry bags. Afterall, PAP has encouraged foreign "talent" to add "value" to our society. Making a fuss about this NS man asking his maid to carry bag is like forbidding NS man to go brothel and fuck PRC. Both are equally foreign "talent" under PAP definition. Besides, I heard many activities under Mindef have been subcontracted to foreign sources. I salute the NS man for doing what he did because he knows once he ORD, he will be competing with foreign morons for job.

It is not about who is carrying or not carrying the back pag. It is about personal pride and the pride of the Nation, we call SINgapore!. Then ,that itching question that beg to be ask " what are we fighting for". In peace time ( conscription time), we cannot even carry our own military pack, what else when there is trouble in the land?. Ok!, maybe this one, someday will have a career path to be a General & then join the 'famous craps franchise' and earn 1m a year or so...then, the Pinoy maid carrying his bag, plus cleaning his boots, washing his uniform & undies, ironing them ..maybe provide 'comfort' from the rigor of serving in the armed forces too?, then it is all right!!
