yes kenny, THAT'S IT! those bugs are super annoying. the frequent fogging in the village doesn't seem to have any effect on these buggers. i checked OFF, it seems to be a foreign import where do you get it? in SG?

euphony, are u referring to those stick like mozzi tat is super itchy and will something cause swell?? those accordingly to pest control is not sand flies but another type of mozzi, grass mozzi. usually they are low flying and thats why we usually get it at our toes and such. So far, we find the most effective method is to spray OFF.

Yes Kenny, spray off the nice smelling type right?? We kept a bottle in the car, just in case we decides to eat at road side stall at night.

ya, the nice smelling type, but have to spray it outdoor, else if its indoor, your whole floor will be very sticky. My wife is a mozzi magnet, so she must have this for outdoor activities. It would usually last for abt 3hrs at most and would need a new coat already.

OFF is popular product for army boy who are too lazy with repellent cream which are sticky on skin.
It is from Johnson and Johnson.
I recall in my younger day in kampong, we would burn coconut husks and carry the smoke like a praying monk into each rooms , that is cheap and good for a few hours as well !!!
It is called "SMOKE OUT !"

At least you're staying very near to 2nd Link's CIQ mah  So you rent out your property in Singapore?

 we love LF too but since shes the one that will be driving in and out to sent us to sg hence we decided on EL for the shorter distance to highway

Kennyc do you have the name of the spray?. My wife too she said her's might be 'sweet blood' thats why the mozzies bite her more then me or maybe I have thicker skin lol. Anyways theres 3 types of mozzies in our area, the long legged, the brown and the black with white onit Im fearing for Aedes mosquito. The brown mosquito is the persistant and most irritating ones as it bites non stop and the bites are far worst than the black mosquito. My wife is waging wars with these pest cos she worry so much especially if our son got bitten. Her favourite weapon of destruction as she call 'em is the rechargeble mosquito bat zapper she bought from mydin and she would be zapping here and there happily especially when she hears the zapping sound, its good for housefly too

Thanks Kenny. This would be one of the first plant I will grow in my yard - very hardy plant.

Hey ODYSSEY you might wanna try to plant Citronella Grass too its an outdoor pest repellent. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cymbopogon_nardus

was recently stopped at customs for bringing in 2 packs of black soil which i had bought from TESCO. The officer brought me to a rubbish bin and asked me to throw the soil away. When i opened the bin, i saw trays of eggs as well as other food items in there! I feel sorry for the folks who tried to bring these items in..very wasteful...at least my soil around S$1 nia.

i am thankful I will be having a place in bolehland soon. At least can chew my favourite gum and watch my favourite DVD undisturbed....haha.

Just to share, one of the lunar new year, my SIL bought BBQ pork n Singapore customs threw it away n make them sign something. We brought bird nest plants from Singapore into Jb n got confiscated. My hub brought in "pop pop" fire cracker, confiscated in Singapore custom, sent him to police station, CID too n got a warning letter, another time will b jail.

Hi bro yonglip, just to clarify, you were bringing in soil from MY to Sg, right? I didn't know they don't allow soil or eggs to be brought in to Sg. Because I bought eggs at Jusco 2 weekends ago and was not asked to throw it away at Sg customs. Unless they didn't notice the eggs which were on the back seat in the car.

The drift track is at the end of the private flight runway.. the runway was closed since 3 years ago. I believe people still go there to drag every now and then, and when the there are such events, both side of the roads will be full of cars, machiam family day, and there will be those make sure stores selling drinks, ice-cream and snacks.
