aiyo very hard to describe and not easy to get to as well. You can go via gelang patah passing by LF or go via PTP highway, at the crucial junction where the 2 roads meet make a turn and follow the road towards the PTP direction. should see a sign 5 minutes in where you cross over a single lane bridge. there are 2. Chinese one on left and malay on right. I have tried the chinese-owned (but halal) one. Food is not life changing but the ambience over the waters is great. not cheap but not expensive either. if i do venture there in the future, I will take down the gps coordinates.

BTW anyone know how to input a location on the King Map GPS device using a given coordinates eg N 37 degrees 43.69, W 97 degrees 28.39 . I think the King Map software do not have this input method .

i think gps devices should have some sort of input for gps? Might need to dig around the sub menus. I use garmin, initially was also hunting around for the input. it should also give you coordinates for your current location too. if all else fails get your coordinates e.g. N3 02.612 E101 26.895 put it into here, (via google, yahoo no good for MY) enlarge the map and find the street name and then input into your GPS query. oh and you can use the same web site to double check your GPS location is correct. I sometimes get these coordinates from the web and once ended up almost in the middle of the sea :D

UXX is bad. May I say it is the worst service I have ever received in my life? It promised it could give you such and such and after waiting for a long long time, it would say "sorry, we still could not provide you the loan amount you asked". Then when you asked "why does it take so long to just get this answer?" and they said "well, because the one who was responsible was very busy, blah blah blah.....".

It is like it does not care to do your business. What a waste of time trusting and waiting for it to approve the loan.

My own personal opinion is hsbc service was the best.
Ambank/SCB OK so-so but product no good and no follow-up.
PB promise alot but end up cannot make it.
Maybank the worst, enuf said...

I guess everyone got different experiences lah...

OK , that is great help .

Hi Bro Euphony, have you got an update regarding the development of the roads outside LF? I took the wrong bus and ended up passing by the road for the first time outside LF and the Gelang Patah crossway link bus station at 9:30p.m. The road was really really dark there but I saw a lot of cars going in and out the road. Have the residents kept pushing LF to develop the road outside LF?

Oh, just realize today from the developer that BH actually does not and is not going to have any club-house facilities. So BH is just simply residences with houses and some little parks there?

oh! yah there is indeed a causeway link bus station @ GP. as for the road i guess all residents have resigned to fate if it comes it comes if it doesn't it doesn't. otherwise we wouldn't have bought it here. there is talk about roads for a start. good thing is surrounding land belongs to mulpha the developer behind LF. so a 'short-cut' so as to say may be workable but knowing mulpha imho, it is in no hurry for a grand idea as they wait for the neighbor nusajaya developments before they expand their blueprint and price 'the road' into future launches after pricing in the developed nusajaya premium. So a spin off sister taman i suspect. having gone the other way to get to 2nd link via PTP, I now understand why is the road so busy. It is the other alternative to PTP, there are many small settlements further inside, I lost count and on top of that the staff quarters for the 2nd link CIQ is a little after the 2nd entrance of LF. keep telling myself not to go home late but I have driven on the road at about 12am before. Trick is to chase up to a line of cars ahead of me. Safety in numbers hurhur though as I tell myself and other LFers try not to use the road too late.

Bro. Euphony, how do you feel about the rental potential of a house in LF? LF has rented out some of their houses and I am just curious what the percentage of occupancy of these houses rented by LF and those rented by the other owners if any is.

am sitting now in the clubhouse replying to this thread. I learnt that once we move out of highrise into low rise dwellings, we're plenty welcomed with much irritating insects. I am still in the process of getting use to this though i swear i'd rid off every single one of them under my roof lest they start helping me pay my mortgage! :D In the meantime, I found this in tescos: a pleasant smelling anti-mosquitoes effervescent. tried it in various conformations, putting it in the room is pretty useless. Place it close to your body about 2 of it and it seems to ward off those buggers.

i think a fellow forummer mentioned about cloves. I've placed them in strategic areas and have not seen any cockroach infestation. Saw a dead cockroach in the 'lanai' right outside my door i try not to think the cloves are that powerful!! :D though they seem to have no effect on ants. For ants, fellow neighbor and board user recommended anti-ant solution can't remember the name but it worked wonders. every other day I see the carcasses pile up until today. I think the whole colony is wiped out. once the mosquitoes, drosphilas and whatever flying insects are gone, I have to deal with the lizards next. grrr. They are way to shitty, literally!!

erm not so sure about it as most of whom I have met are staying-in owners, I hear in BWV it can start from RM2.5k, those bungalows on 1 acre lots can start from RM10k.

Bro, that website require me to pay to place ad. Any free ad posting website? Advertise also must pay.... Faint la

Why dont you post it here with asking price . Some bros / friends here maybe interested leh .

Insecticides and other nasty stuff only address the bug probloem in the short term.

There is in fact another but radical way to rid oneself of such pests in the longer term. The method is to first stop killing them. The more you kill them, more will return and literally bug you in the future. Just tell them you are staying here and their presence is not welcomed. Yes! talk to them. Give them time to pack up. sometimes it will take a few hours for that to happen, sometimes, it will be a few days. but their numbers will definitely be reduced over time if you start ignoring them and stop killing them. I used to be very bothered by lizards, small bugs and of course ants. I have tried all sorts of ways and means to rid them..poison, traps etc..but each time you thought you got rid of them, more came. I've learnt not to kill them and somehow they appreciate it and their numbers start dwindling on its own..

try it...you may be amazed like i was...

cheers.

Look up MRTA, MLTA. Compare premiums against regular personal term insurance policy.
Most only insure mortgage of own dwelling and do not insure mortgages of investment properties.

Hi Batok Seri, thanks for the reminder.. =)

JPO opening postponed to Dec 2 from 11.11.11

JOHOR BARU: The Johor Premium Outlets, initially touted to open on 11.11.11, will now start operations on Dec 2.

The upscale outlet will feature more than 80 designer and branded stores offering factory prices with daily discounts of between 25% and 65%.

It is expected to be officially launched by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak on Dec 11.

State Tourism and Domestic Trade committee chairman Hoo Seong Chang said he was surprised by the change as everything seemed to be geared towards the Nov 11 date.

“Anyway, they may have their reasons as the Prime Minister will be overseas in November.

“I hope to find out when I meet them,” he said, adding that the state government was upbeat about the huge tourism potential of JPO.

Hoo revealed that tourist arrivals into the state had increased by more than 480,000 in the first six months of this year compared with the same period last year.

“So far, we have had about 8.3 million tourists with Singaporeans constituting about 70%,” Hoo said.

Among the designer brands that have confirmed their presence at JPO are Adidas, Armani, Brooks Brothers, Burberry, Canali, Coach, Esprit, Ermenegildo Zegna, Gap, Guess, Michael Kors and Nike.

For bros and sisters who are interested, I've just received email from HH, they have just launched the new clusters at The Hill.
