Pardon me for being sceptical. But just by looking at the size already made me feel insecured!

Hey Cathlmg, i use it as well, i swear by it actually. Not that the filter is that small, anyway size isn't all that matters.

Hi Mallow

Thanks for the sharing bro..

Such incidents serves as timely reminders for all bros and sis never to let your guard down in malaysia...the gangs there are more desperate and will resort to more violent means to snatch just a few $.

I am reminded of a famous confucius story....

During his travels, Confucius traveled to Mount Tai. There he came across a woman who was weeping next to a new grave. He asked her about her sorrows. She told him that her father had been killed there by a tiger 2 years ago. Her husband had been killed by the same tiger last year. And now her son had just been killed by the tiger. Confucius asked her why she did not leave this dangerous village. She told him that it was because there is no oppressive government here!! Confucius then turned to his followers and told them to always remember...."Tyrannical policies can be more dangerous than a tiger".

Cheers.

Good news! Talking about endorsement, Lee Kuan Yew seems very positive about Iskandar Region. What better endorsement can Iskandar gets other than this?

From CNA website http://www.channelnewsasia.com/stories/singaporelocalnews/view/1153157/1/.html
Speaking to the media after the dialogue, Mr Lee said he believes the momentum created by the Iskandar project will lead to more successful co-operation between the two countries.

From http://www.themalaysianinsider.com/litee/malaysia/article/lky-backs-najib-for-better-ties-with-singapore
The English daily said the influential Lee, a former PM of Singapore, sees promise in Malaysia’s Iskandar region and believes that there can be more successful co-operation between both countries by leveraging on the momentum created by the economic hub in south Johor.

“The Iskandar momentum could also lead to successive Malaysian prime ministers like the current Prime Minister Najib Razak,” the daily quoted Lee (picture) as saying.

He said there will be mutual benefits for both Malaysia and Singapore if the Iskandar project “develops properly”.

The long-serving former Singapore prime minister said this to reporters after a dialogue to mark the seventh anniversary of the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy on the island state yesterday.

Folks, make no mistakes, there will always be bad tenants. Recall the recent incident where a SG guy (i think) came here and bought and got a horrible tenant. To be fair though, they did say that one should check the location first before buying. So far though, we haven't met up with that type of tenant from hell. The only thing close to bad (from what a good friend shared) was late by a week for the rental payment but he chose to close one eye. He even bought moon cakes for his tenants.

Saw news today same thing happened to a HDB owner. Tenant burn his flat down. Who says it only happen in JB. Singapore just as BAD.

Lee Kuan Yew's positive views on the prospect of Iskandar Malaysia will definitely bring more foreign investments into the region.

Hi,
From your Confucius story, it seemed that some Singaporeans are willing to move to Malaysia because our PAP could be more dangerous? Ha ha..

Just read a page from my kid's "horrible history".. It was written that in the 18th century, British coal owners (businessman)who are the rich men will give house to the peasants.. --> the peasants will in return dig the coal for the rich business men --> the business men will open NTUC to sell expensive things back to peasants for their daily needs -> the peasants will have to borrow money from the business men to buy their foods -> next they have to borrow more to pay for their medical needs--> when they old and sicks, the businessmen will kick them out of their house or send them to Johor -> now the businessmen will have new houses to give to new peasants who are immigrants..

This is the first time I heard good words of him regarding Malaysia.. Maybe they want more singaporeans to move out so new immigrants will not find Singapore to be too congested... Hee..

Strong US support for Malaysia's ETP

Kuala Lumpur: Top US businessmen have pledged support for Malaysia's Economic Transformation Programme (ETP) which they say would enable Malaysia to become more competitive and attractive to foreign investors.

"We look to support the successful implementation of the ETP that will create a service-based economy with shifts up to the middle and high-income brackets", said the US-Asean Business Council and the Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers in a joint statement issued following a recent high-level business-to-business dialogue held between senior executives of the council and leading Malaysian businessmen and industrialists.

I think so too , esp those past their 'expiry date' to retire there. A subtle way is to encourage you to stretch your $ since most things are cheaper esp housing. The new citizen/PR with energy and active contribution will stay here to boost economy. This is still a win-win as Johor-Msia will be a boom town for retiree.

Thank for the read Investor.

The train has rolled out of the station. It is steadily increasing pace now. Not too late to hop on with some effort, but it is picking up speed. For those who are still contemplating, don't hesitate further. Now is the right time!

Hey Cathlmg, i use it as well, i swear by it actually. Not that the filter is that small, anyway size isn't all that matters.

My personal logic thinking I suppose. IMHO.

A water filter is for trapping sediments and contenmints between the the pipe before your tap and you. So if it is too small, water flow will slow down because of all these stuck inside. So you need to take it out to wash it often, or have its filters refills changed more frequently. As I have mentioned in my earlier post, strictly for drinking purposes is OK. But if you want to use it for washing, like for example the car or the clothes, the upkeep part is going to be expensive....

Personally, I feel that for washing of cars, the sediments in the unfiltered water will scratch the car paint. Maybe not noticeable on the first few wash. But it will slowly build up to a point where you need to wax the car frequently. Same as for washing the floor, it only makes the floor more sticky and then you have to wash it with more water....
