I think it makes sense to build a 3d road link in the middle of the 2nd and 1st link currently..,

I hv full respect on BN's PM on the great job done in economic development in the past yrs. Criminal issues is the on going things for yrs and perhaps you can give some good ideas to solve it so we can all leave in peace. We all hv to be alert n careful on criminal issues to protect our family. May I know who will definite robbed or killed me when I step in Malaysia? Everybody know the criminal issues but still invest in JB but not many alert to safeguard themselve....

The 3rd link should be at ponggol side as there is one at middle and another at West Side. Must spread the infrastructure for everyone benefits mah.

doubt it will ever happen... road link as much as possible will just connect the boundaries between countries... if medini is really taken off as a new Pusat bandar at the western part of JB... It will highly possible to build another road link there in future too.. Not to say that HSR stop will be there...

Actually now I don't use 2nd link in the morning to enter Singapore anymore as the jams are horrible and terrible. I only visit Iskandar every Friday from 3pm. You see so many Q-cutters every morning and the Spore customs are not doing anything despite the problems persisting for 1 year already. Last time 2nd link used to be expensive and hassle free even btw 6-9am. No jam and no such thing as Q.

Now to Q for 1 hour just to enter Singapore is norm during morning rush hours and weekends. Imagine jam for 1 hour daily and paying S$3.60 and RM 7+ plus .. that's atrocious. I have spoken to the Customs in-charge and the reason given was that there is no solution to it because " ALL counters ARE OPENED and manned during peak hours"

If it is so easy to shop and live in JB for Singaporeans, then who pays the 7% GST and petrol tax, supports the shops that pay high rentals to mall owners like Capitaland, and the expensive doctors in SGH etc?

I also notice from online webcam; Woodland has lesser cars as compare to Tuas link during certain time.

the common impression is that one can clear both MY and SG customs at 2nd link faster because at off peak hours, indeed it is true. but don't ever get caught at peak hours on both sides as it will take double the time as compared to causeway side to clear both customs. Reason : less counters at 2nd link as compared to Causeway

There are going to be a lot of new units VP from 2013 to 2016 (just imagine the thousands of condos that VP), not to mention the new factories that start up in JB. My guess is 2nd link will be as bad as 1st link as early as 2014.

Jam can destroy my mood. (but I do not drive; my agent will drive me to JB)

Rule of thumb using Woodland custom for day trip.

Go between 10-11:30 am
Return between 3-4:30 pm

Only on Monday to Thursday.

And if I cannot make it; I will not go at all.

Unless I am staying there for a week or 2 in future; by then RTS should be ready.

Funny part is;

1. When I want to buy a unit in Perth; I find out I have never been to perth before at all. I did all my research online. (GDP; Population; Per Capital Income; Demographic etc.)

2. When I bought my first Condo in JB (SKY 88); I never step into JB for the past 10 years. Same thing I did my research online.
One good tool is Google Map.

And with regard to other zones; there are simply no data to do research at all. I really chicken shit to buy somewhere without any data and land sold as cheap as RM 0.64/psf (bought by UEM) and as high as only RM38 psf. Maybe someone got sucker punch by UEM.

My apology, Bro Shctaw not Bro Shataw. Tk yr perth pictures early which remind me to visit again this yr.

unlikely.... so far u can see most ppl staying at nusajaya gelang patah working in SG the number are much lower than matured and crowded area like tebrau which those are the ppl who will be 1st link due to the only choice...

In any case, it is indeed getting crowded at 2nd link but it is way not too bad compare to 1st link...most of the time if u check the traffic camera u can see this obviously...there are many tamans ppl will have no 2nd option to go SG.... Now already crowded next time will be even worst for 1st link... From EDl traffic nowadays u can easily tell that tebrau are residents rich....

I always says; June will be the last chance to book a unit before price jump.

June 2013 - last chance to enter before price enter new level.

It feels a bit uneven if you look at the tolls at 2nd link. My take is 2nd link will be very crowded. The CIQs there at SG and JB are not designed to handle the volume. Typical of SG's management failure in recent years: promote economic growth but forget infrastructure support.

Same thinking. We will see another round of rapid (price) growth in Iskandar in 2013 and 2014.
