Liew Mun Leong Billion Dollars Temasek Reputation Has Been Rubbished

Mind boggles as LML still says he did his so called civic duty by acting on his so called 'genuine belief' in making the police report against Parti and going through the criminal legal process. LML also says he respects Chan J's decision, where Chan J has determined that LML & family had an 'improper motive' to fix Parti.

His understanding of CIVIC DUTY is different from us.
His understanding - SELF BEFORE OTHERS.
LHL & HC's idea of natural aristocracy.

I think only Shan commented in his capacity as Law n HA minister. The others very quiet - LHL, TCH, KBW, GCT, HSK, CCS ......

If it was Pritam instead of LML........ even useless MPs will be rushing to comment.
What is very curious and interesting is that Temasek and MOF have paid tribute to LML while commenting on his so called early retirement. No individual comments apart from Shan which was circumspect yet dealt with the issues and that disastrous statement from Temasek president Dilhan.

the match maker , i noticed at the Top of the

Yalor. What a shame. He would have been a potential candidate for the next presidential erection.
All recent accolades were about his achievements, and seem to build him up as a credible pillar of
society. What do you think?
me think u're rubbing salt over a wound..
always remember... be it good fortune, bad fortune... they do not last forever.. :geek:

In 2001, after he became CEO of CapitaLand, he took over the derelict Raffles City Shanghai project, “a big hole in the ground”, abandoned by the former DBS Land, he said. By 2008, it was worth twice its investment cost of S$300 million and commanded one of Shanghai’s stiffest rentals, he added.

Speaking philosophically to the reporter, he said crises are the best time to “build up your relative combat power” and he arrived at this operating principle – “In good times, prepare for bad times. In bad times, prepare for good times.”

Former DBS Land CEO fired back

About a week later after the talk of Liew’s property achievements was published on Straits Times, former DBS Land CEO Dr Han Cheng Fong wrote to Straits Times firing back (‘DBS Land didn’t abandon Shanghai project‘, 11 Dec 2008).

Dr Han was particularly offended by Liew’s remarks that he took over the derelict Raffles City Shanghai project – ‘a big hole in the ground’ – abandoned by DBS Land.

“In the interest of accuracy, as the former CEO of DBS Land, I state categorically that Raffles City Shanghai was never abandoned by DBS Land at any time. Nor was it derelict or ‘a big hole in the ground’ when Pidemco merged with DBS Land,” Dr Han shot back.

it is very reflective of the morality and ethics of those elites who have endorsed him despite his malicious intent.

this is what happens when unfettered power accrues at the top and there is no one to watch the watchers.

Don't be stupid to think that I'm so naive. You think all those druggies, gangsters now rotting inside prisons , the way they confessed under duress, all this were taken into account by the presiding judges? You think no trumped
up charges involved? You must be really daft if you think I'm daft enough to believe in our justice system. And for your info, I stayed in Changi chalet for 6 months in 2017. Not proud of it but I know of things that you don't know about what's happening in our prisons.

I truly agree with you! this is especially where I had experienced how injustice was passed in the ruling court when the master think its not worth even a minute for defence capability! he/she just passed teh law according to his/her speculations! YES, speculations!.... just becoz he/she rubbed shoulders with the elitism to obtain his/her honourbly title does not mean he/she is above the rest!

many think our jury court is there to put justice!??? here, this court becomes tool for the rich & powerful!

there were countless cases where court just passed cases WITHOUT proper exmaninations at all, just go-thru-motion or hush-hush formality within few minutes!
and when the concerns (educated speaking in english) started doubts, queries or question . . . he/she will be dealt with contempt of court with another slap on the face.
yes, this is how court behaves even for the most trivial cases!

WHY no sound no picture from AGC or Law Minister ? Usually response will be immediate and the ministers and MSM will join to attack from the word ' Go! '

Among other things, Chief Executive of Temasek International, the wholly-owned management and investment arm of Singapore investment firm Temasek Holdings, Dilhan Pillay Sandrasegara (Dilhan) said:

With his line of logic, does it mean that financier Jeffrey Epstein should be exonerated because he had donated to charity and contributed to the economy? Surely not!

The entitlement and detachment from reality displayed by Dilhan as a representative of Temasek is shockingly scary!

Ghui
Lol... Made it seem like he worked at all these places pro bono.
