You may had suffered for long over PRESUMPTIONS with deluded childhood fantasies that eventually did not panned out with REALITIES of life, & thus your dissatisfaction with this life that you are living in, to even willingness to accept falsehoods & betrayal to your own country that MANY had sacrificed & worked hard thru contributions to national treasury & other volunteer efforts, for wide scale social expenditure that includes not just all, but even yours in your upbringing, education & opportunities in life including even National defense.

Is this gratitude to your country, which is made up of ALL of us citizens as well as our courageous forefathers?

It is only common that NOTHING is fair in this World. If so, there would be no wars & everyone would be singing Kumbaya around firesides every night. Within National Service, I personally witnessed 'white horses' galloping freely while others had to bear the tough strains of military training & discipline. BUT fortunately, our Military is made up of FAR wiser Commanders & Senior Warrant officers.

ULTIMATELY, what is National Service for?

It is NOT about protecting the Elites. Never, EVER. The elites can flee anytime they wish to, with their paid bodyguards, lawyers & accountants, but MANY of our citizens - our loved ones, families, relatives & friends may not be able to do so, or afford an equal or better life elsewhere as evident by the plight of refugees worldwide.

It is about TRAINING & PREPARATION for war. Reality of Peace is that one MUST be prepared for war. MANY more of our SAF commanders & WO are far more concerned with the ideology that it is YOUR loved ones, family, relatives & friends that you should be MORE concerned about - to leave NO ONE behind, Wars are the worst event that can happen to Humanity. None is invincible. Only by training, honoring our sacred National Pledge, UNITED TOGETHER, & focus upon our national duties would we be able to save most, if not all, not just by bullets alone, but by motivational ideology to leave none behind as we EACH had sworn since 6 yrs old.

The elites... are few. We COMMONERS are many. One person less is NOT less. One person more is NOT more. They can do what they wish, but by their actions, WE know what they are made up of, & whom to trust. They are the few, & you may be surprised, that even amongst the elites, there are those whom ARE prepared to sacrifice their own lives for the rest of us citizens...

Write as if 爱国的人.... only smart people keng king like us can win a war or any games.... we think outside the square to find weakness of the system.... then improve on it... we are better survival in war time than you academic nutcase bastard desk top paper idiot....

We are given 20 rounds each time.... too many rounds to fire and dirty the rifle... hard to clean it afterwards.... so must keng how to fire less rounds.....

Sit on the ground slowly take one bullet at time and push it into the soil... that's it.... every one did it... there must be hundreds of live rounds in the soil.... danger about...

He know we are at the firing range and the next day hold rifle inspection parade and kenan us. Take 3 guard duties for dirty rifle.... that is burn 3 weekends.... so depend on season and if close to Christmas time he will find Buddhist type to do guard duties on Christmas and NYE day. The elite Christians bastards will bribe him and he know what to do this....

Then come to CNY time and NYE lagi jialat.... Chao ah being Sargent get more angpow money and start more rifle inspection parade to find us for guard duty on CNY and NYE....

Bro, I never had to keng because i had a get out of jail free card. LOL. I was a WH. so, if i tell my OC i am not feeling well, he will always order me to report report MC in the morning. And given light duties. MO also my buddy because he is also WH. But i never even abused this once. because in those days, i was fit as hell, and enjoyed driving tanks and shooting the main gun. And commanding my platoon and all the way up. Occasionally, on the way back from exercise cut, the other enciks and officer will pull our land rover into the hawker center along CCK road, U know the one I am talking about. And order the teh alia. The best in singapore. and have some light makan. My cub will unload all 3 tanks with the help of the platoon and start washing. By the time we all come back from hawker centre, I will walk over and help with the washing and weapons cleaning. So, maybe that my keng.

In terms of not firing the ammo because it will dirty the weapons, I loved that shit. If they give me 20 rounds of HE 75mm, I shoot it all. Even when I destroy the targets on the butt (remember 2 oil drums stack on top of 2 oil drums), I still use my main gun to shoot individual oil drums lying on the ground. And whacking off 10 belts of 250 rounds of GPMG ammo, I love it. I used to shoot the stick holding the target until I cut it in half. LOL

The only thing I really siam and keng was TKD training. I used to complain, even when I was in 4SAB, why must a tankee learn TKD? By the time a tankee has to use his TKD training, it means that 1) his tank has been destroyed from under him 2) if he miraculously escaped his tank's destruction, he has used up all the ammo in his personal weapon 3) he has lost his knife after his ammo ran out. Lanchiow lah. Tankee would have been long dead at Step 1. And those TKD instructors were sadistic shits. knuckle pushups in the hot asphalt at the Keat Hong Camp parade grounds. WTF. I brought up many times that pure tank formations like 40 SAR should be exempt from this requirement, but too many scholars and ass kissers at 4SAB don't dare to bring it up to Colin.

This sungei Gudong armoured training camp ground was already badly damaged. I was send there and rain heavy... the ground was flooded and big holes... in front of me was a signal jeep and it flips and overturn... lucky it was not mine. See such accident can break bones or paralysed you...

Shit such a bad place destroyed by years of training.... and from then onwards I checked the RO and if send to this place.... siam... go MO with a in-grown toe nail problem and get 3 days MC... nice... All these tricks old bird teach me one.

2 years full time and add 5 years reservist time is still not enough to make lanjiao Loong happy. In total is 7 years of NSF liability....

Buay song he add another 8 years to the 7 years total 1.5 decade to NSF liability.... not funny....

Yang and Pinky is too very different personality lah. If Pinky did not have a domineering father and an ambitious mother, he would be a math teacher in some pre-u. Yang is a jock. He likes sports and physical training, and is very fit. If he did not have the same parents, I think he would have joined the army anyway because of the outdoor and physical nature. Yang, I like him. He has a nice personality and is a decent guy. Pinky, well, u have your own opinion on him.

As far as I know, if Yang had hanta kaki at CO level of a SAR, he would have been perfectly happy. In fact, some famous sons like Benjamin Sheares nephew hanta kaki in armour for a long time as Major and retired at Lt Col. But his mother was ambitious and ask him to be push up all the way to MINDEATH. I don't think he ever wanted that. They were trying to groom him for a big political position like his elder brother. But he rebelled, which I have to say takes guts in that family. Did u know he was expressly forbidden by his parents to go for Jump School? But he did that secretly. Made 6 jumps and got his wings. LOL. His parents were livid when they found out. LOL.

His sons are also nice, not like Pinky's arrogant kids. One of them did his NS in Armour also, as an armskoteman. The full 2 years NS, never siam. Report to the same camp his father commanded. I have no problems whatsoever with Yang, and hope to meet him again one day outside sinkieland.
