I was all the while thinking that scholarships were meant for the needy ones, poor and brilliant.
In which category does this recipient fits?
Not for ordinary Sinkies.

In the 1970's, my instructor was a US Ranger trained and qualified champion sky diver. Career professional officer. He treated me like a colleague. Many years after we parted, I managed to locate him, and did chat with him.
US ranger course (yellow tab) discontinued liao....because too many SAF sent over cannot pass....
Now left with local ranger (red tab) only....
I once owned a stellar.
Hyundai stellar 2.0 GS.....upgraded from a pony.
The thing was built like a Russian tank
present more than 100 generals.
They say sinkieland army size small we can't have full general but add up all these 1-2 stars are a joke.

Could that be CPT Neo Keng Kok, OC SAF Parachute Wing?

If LHL had joined the US army, wonder what rank when retired. Captain? If up north, he is likely to be rejected. Not manly enough.
Pii Narong, Singapore scholars no need what red ranger or yellow ranger they are already Power Rangers liao sanctified by PAP.
Russian tank? Stellar? What about the pony?
Sir, it is obvious that you are not a runner, and you are lacking in knowledge in sports science. You are like the old SAF that did a lot of unscientific and damaging things, like water parade right before sleeping, lousy canvas shoes on hard Tarmac etc."it is traditionally well accepted that a strong linear relationship exists between the rate of oxygen consumption and running speed (see figure 1), with energy expenditure increasing with increasing running speed"
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Running_energetics
In english: The faster you run, the more energy consumed. Not only is it logical, it is linearly proven.
The load of the FBO is a different story. Who cares about damage to joints?!? You kena damaged, you attend C, you OOC. Simple. Cannot become ranger. It is a course to weed out the weak, and train the strong. After rangers have proven themselves by passing the course, they get the tab. Nobody ask them to continue running 10k FBO for the rest of their lives. Its only 60 + 1 day of running FBO 10km daily, that's all.
Nowhere did I write that you would not get injured. My friend got a stress fracture after day 7 proven on x-ray. But he tough, shut the F up and continued the course. And passed.
Neo Kian Hong was an observer in Afghanistan.... think he has "seen" combat hahahaha.... the rest don't think so
For the ongoing debate on range course....any ranger graduate out there to shed some light?
Yellow and red tab kind only....no power ranger, park ranger, Lone Ranger pls
