He is also an SAF Overseas Merit Scholar. He was given two scholarships, the President's Scholarship and the SAF Overseas Merit Scholarship at the same time to study for one course!

From Wikipedia: In 1971, he was awarded a President's Scholarship and Singapore Armed Forces Overseas Scholarship by the Public Service Commission to study mathematics at Trinity College, University of Cambridge.

Have to be SAFOS or SPFOS first before you can be considered for PS lah. Correct me if I am wrong because i am not a scholar but that is how I remembered it.

PS is like an additional scholarship that is awarded the very very best and that runs concurrently to whatever PSC scholarship you are already on.

By the way, SAFOS is completely different class from OMS hor.

Have to be SAFOS or SPFOS first before you can be considered for PS lah. Correct me if I am wrong because i am not a scholar but that is how I remembered it.

Millions of taxpayer money is spent for these elites, then they turn around to mess up our lives and take more of our hard-earned money.

We need to get rid of the PAP and the current batch of senior civil servants. We shouldn't be having young senior servants ...they don't have the experience, just academic credentials. Then think they are god's gift to sinkapore when they should be thankful for the opportunity. Instead of giving back, they suck more. The current example is the PAP candidate for BE at PE.

When the PAP is tossed out, all the paper generals must go to. And those retired paper generals should not have the right to use the rank unless they volunteer to go to Afghanistan or Mali for 2 years.

Actually the list is much longer....if you take the trouble to list I think past and present more than 100 generals.
Many are hiding in stat boards, GLCs etc....
