Serious Lawrence Wong - Please TABAO!

In the beginning, people chose the pap because they wanted a better life and also due to the forceful character and charisma of ah gong. They issued a blank cheque.

Yes, the people created a monster. But this monster, like intelligent AI, took on a life of its own. And here we are today.

In Calgary pubs wanted to stay open on St Patrick's Day. But shamed into closing.

Meanwhile sinkies go to USS and Zoo for the promos.

In the end it is up to people themselves. Singaporeans clearly support the moves to keep Singapore open for business.

In Canada most people support the shut down.

I support the shut down.

Yes money is important but money can be earned back later.

If you lose your life or your loved one it is forever.

What's a temporary severe drop in the economy? Countries lived through the great depression and came back. But lives lost will not come back.

Singapore is playing a risky game.

Merrily I say unto thee, look at the curves for the Tiawan meimei and Nihon JAV... Kawaii desu!
I don't have the curves  but I do have the data. We can try to be as successful as them, but for every 1 million, we have more cases as compared to them.:cry:

Are you insinuating Cloudy isn’t a Sinkie?

You have to ask Cloudy. Until recently I dont have an impression of what her views are in general. And even then it is mostly to do with how Singapore is handling the covid19 situation.

Tiawan should get a Platinum medal for this, Macau too!

and before I forget, our population density is very much higher compared to Japan & Tiawan.

Great for Calgary!

Because the government refuses to shut down pubs, entertainment venues, cinemas, etc etc. If they shut them down and have a lock down, sinkies will lan lan obey. We are an obedient bunch. Will follow law. So when the government doesn't so all those things, sinkies assume everything is ok. The government got it covered. Therein lies the danger. The government wants us to trust them, in this very risky game.

Sinkies vote PAP because they trust PAP.

Anyway be positive lah. Maybe Singapore will be held up as shining example along with Japan and South Korea for how they handled the crisis.

So far so good. Defying the trend in other countries.

Actually Singapore is a city with national level policies and power. So it should be easier to manage and control.

That would explain the higher number of cases per 1 million people. We are packed together like sardines, so we really need more effective containment and management to prevent spread. But life seems to go on as normal everywhere I go. Pap got it under control, they'll have us think.

Yep, I am hoping for the best but expecting the worst. But then again, I am always a pessimist.

Hong Kong is doing pretty well with 270+ cases at this point in time, considering we have similar population density.

You must remember that since January the world has avoided going to China, Hong Kong, Singapore.

This is why there were less imported cases. And hence why overall cases dropped.

It is now the 2nd wave. It depends how many cases get sent to the country now.

As you know many sinkies are coming back from their holidays in the new epicenters.

Remains to be seen how the 2nd wave will turn out.

And I mentioned that those returning citizens and residents ought to be sent directly to Loyang Chalet and quarantined, hope you didn’t miss that post.

But they are not.

And I think most Singaporeans are believing in the message being sent out that all is well Singapore is swell that is why singapore will excel.

BTW that is the 22SA battle cry.

Sorry I do not trust the Singapore government.

As I have said many times in 2003 SARS they told us not to wear N95 masks and to trust the measures in place at SGH with the transfer of TTSH "non-SARS" patients they had already tested and screened before moving to SGH.

Fuck lah.

Tests have failure rates. You should know that.

My prediction, four digits by this time next month.
At this stage we can't hope for no infection increase.
Best is the numbers increase sooner at its peak better then slowly drag on.
We can test our medical response team to handle all this.
Hopefully it can be contain the virus

Yes, thankfully Carrie Lam closed most of the borders which she initially refused to do. HK doctors and other medical staff demanded the government shut the border by going on strike.

An increase in infection is a given. Every country that has been badly hit wants this to be spread out so it won't max out hospitals. I hope our hospitals can handle it, the pap seem very confident.

Meanwhile Singapore kept borders open and the doctors invited foreigners to go to Singapore to get treatment if they have covid19.
