This involves an overseas based syndicate.

Because LKY is ultimately the one who set the system up for the benefit of all of us.

I worship the ground he walks on. He's one of the most capable men I've come across.

Hey Ah Leongsam, if you worship the ground that a Great Man walked on, then why the hell (sorry, ooppss, HEAVEN) you left this sacred ground for a filthy NZ which has a history of killing the Moaris and desecrating their holy sites.

You should remain here just like many faithfuls who prefer to breathe their last in Holy Lands.

Seems you are becoming a schizophrenic (victim of a major mental iullness).

The problem with NZ is that they didn't kill enough Maori. There's been a resurgence and they're causing more trouble than ever. The coconuts from up North haven't helped either.

Man, 60, arrested for giving old address to loan sharks

The New Paper

Saturday, Aug 24, 2013

SINGAPORE - Police have arrested a 60-year-old man for giving a false address to loan sharks.

While investigating cases of loanshark harassment on Tuesday, officers nabbed the suspect in Bukit Batok East Avenue 4 for his involvement in loansharking activities.

They found that he was a debtor who had used his previous residential address to get illegal loans. His actions caused the flat's current owner and occupants to be victims of loan-shark harassment.

Investigations also showed that the suspect had failed to report the change of his residential address within 28 days. Investigations are ongoing

From your reply, I feel a little suspicious........

Are you being sarcastic about that remark knowing full well that our Nation is heading for trouble?

Leongsam, you cannot be that unfamiliar about Singapore - from the way you write, your replies and your tough stand on certain issues.

Bro, please come clean and tell us your true opinion about whether your reply was truly authentic or just some sarcasm?

Saminderpaul Singh was given an $8,800 fine for tapping a police officer twice on the chest, after he got into an altercation with a cabby.

SINGAPORE - What started as an argument with a taxi driver ended with an $8,800 fine for IT manager Saminderpaul Singh on Friday.

The 30-year-old pleaded guilty to disorderly behaviour for shouting, and using criminal force on a police officer by twice tapping him on the chest.

Charges for hitting the cabby on the head and using abusive language against a police officer were taken into consideration.

On Aug 26 last year, after drinks with friends at the Tanjong Beach Club in Sentosa, Singh boarded a taxi at 11.30pm to return to his Seletar Hills home.

But there was a dispute about the route taken and the 60-year-old cabby, Mr Spencer Teng Lee Fat, drove to the Orchard Road Neighbourhood Police Centre instead.

They continued arguing and two police officers came out to see to them. While one officer was interviewing the cabby, Singh started shouting at the top of his voice.

He also tapped an officer with his hand. He was warned not to touch the officers. Yet he tapped the officer two more times on the chest. He was arrested.

For using criminal force on a public servant, he could have been jailed for up to four years or fined, or both.

Pleading for just a fine, defence lawyer Amarick Gill said Singh, who works for a marine survey firm, had acted out of character and was truly remorseful.

District Judge Toh Yung Cheong warned that violence in any form cannot be condoned, especially against police and public transport workers who were only doing their jobs.

But he also noted that the main charge involved tapping a police officer on the chest, so a large fine would be sufficient in this case.
