Man arrested for stealing bicycle in Tampines
Friday, August 16, 2013 - 21:01

AsiaOne

SINGAPORE - A 22-year-old man has been arrested for stealing a bicycle in the vicinity of Tampines Street 12.

On Aug 11, at around 8.44pm, police received notification that a bicycle was stolen at the said location.

Images on police cameras installed at the void deck of the HDB block captured the identity of the suspect.

Officers from Tampines Neighbourhood Police Centre's Crime Strike Force then conducted ground investigations with the footage and subsequently arrested the suspect four days later.

He will be charged in court on Aug 17.

If convicted, he faces a jail term up to three years, or a fine, or both.

Commander of Bedok Police Division, Deputy Assistant Commissioner of Police Alvin Moh advised members of public to adopt the following crime prevention measures:

1. Keep your bicycle inside your house when you are not using it. If you need to park your bicycle at a public place, park at a designated bicycle parking bay;

2. Lock your bicycle when left unattended, even if it is only for a short while. All removable bicycle components should be secured;

3. Use a durable lock such as a U-lock, which provides better security compared to cable locks.

your friend stupid. he should have a clause in the sale and purchase agreement. withold 10% of final price for 1 year and if any loan shark harassment from previous owner, he gets to keep the money. alot of people are puttting this in the contract . alternatively is he should sue the property agent for false or misleading representation.

It is all the 2 casinos...More tax revenue for Ministers millionaire salaries, but ordinary folks suffer!!!!!!!!!!

The sad part is that KY still thinks that someone will kill him; he has two bodyguards. Goodness gracious, he is just an MP, a spent one. He doesn't even attend Parliament session. Isn't there a rule that an MP who is absent from Parliament for a certain number of days will be suspended without pay?

KY needs personal support staff/nurse, instead of bodyguards. Do you know the reason why he uses bodyguards instead of nurses?

Only 2 bodyguards for the old traitor? You got to be kidding!

Inner and outer layer, no less than 2 - 3 dozen hand picked men to protect the old thief!

HOW MANY OF THESE RAPISTS, MOLESTERS ARE FOREIGNORS!!!!==============
