Laura Ong could make some good money by suing his employer for publicizing her name. A strictly private affair, the employer has no right or authority to depict Laura negatively. If she has the guts, she should pursue the matter in court. A few hundred thousands are available for her to take as the PAP wants this Palmer affair to go away quickly and being hauled to court will keep the matter in the limelight. Of course, the PAP will use all sorts of pressure to silence poor Laura.
People have long memories and Singapore is a small place.
But there is hope that over time, people's thinking will broaden and become more understanding that she is a victim. I doubt that she is out to hurt anyone.
This is a case between 2 consenting adults.
There are people out there those cheat retirees out of their life savings who are the real villains.
Laura do not have the powerful networking and connections of her employer.
If she is in the West, she will have no problem pursuing this in the courts, but not Singapore where the court is not independent.
Laura will be completely crushed by the PAP force, with exile as the only option.
