ACTUALLY, ONE OF THEM IS ALREADY VERY WELL KNOWN AMONGST THE OLD RICH MEN IN SINGAPORE. BEHAVING VERY MUCH LIKE A PINBALL. STILL DARE TO APPEAR IN PUBLIC AND MAKE SUCH COMMENTS. SKIN REALLY VERY THICK.

Making such comments make one realise why divorce rates in Singapore are so high. "I marry you for your ability to have plenty of money. Once you cannot make money, it's bye bye".

Former Singaporean beauty queen Ris Low does not mind marrying an ugly man as long as he is rich because he can then opt for plastic surgery, reported China Press.

Low, who had to quit the Miss World 2009 contest after being exposed as a credit card cheat last September, was among women featured in an online television survey which showed that Singaporean women preferred men with money over looks.

"Even if he doesn't, I still don't mind. As long as he is rich, it means I'll be leading a better lifestyle.


"He can buy anything for me and I no longer have to worry about money. This is how realistic life can be," she said.

Low said a man whose income matched a woman's expectation would automatically be accepted, regardless of his looks.

Radio DJ Ye Limei was also reported as saying she would consider men who were financially capable.

"It is not about going the good looks. What a woman hopes is to have a financially capable man, who can take care of her for the rest of her life," she said.

Protocol Academy Pte Ltd founder and director Teo Ser Lee said she would also opt for men who were financially capable.

Even if politically right (i used the big word IF), you are committing HARA KIRI by admitting to being a gold digger in public.

I STARTED LIFE WITH VERY LITTLE MONEY. I went on dates on the bus. My wife suffered with me for 12 years before I struck it rich not by work but by hitting the Singapore 4D lottery BIG; 7 figures. I used that money to speculate in properties in 1988. Sold them all in 1997 and bought a company whose boss wanted to migrate to Australia. The rest is history.
