Leongsam,
You call TracyTan and airhead bimbo. Yet you make her thread "Crumbling of Singapore" a sticky for many months. If she talks rubbish, why is her trash talk featured so prominently?
You claim to get tired of all the fallacies posted. You expect people to know all the facts? To have command of all the information at one go? Well, aren't you already correcting their errors?
You spent a decade on the forum and now you want to close it down because you feel it is too one sided. Well, go ahead. Turn it into an emigration forum where only emigration topics are discussed. Remove all domestic political talk once and for all. I have no problems with that.
You don't have to refund me. Take my donation as a small payment for having the freedom to share ideas with people here and learn from them.
I just find it an irony that you're doing all this. This forum evolved from a sex forum into a TCSS/political forum. The emigration topics were also present during the early delphi days and started to build up, but all these were not mutually exclusive. In fact, they reinforced each other, because each section, be it politics, or trivia, or emigration, attracted their own unique clientele.
If you had positioned the forum strictly as a TCSS forum, or strictly as an emigration forum, you wouldn't have had the success you enjoyed today. For one, I won't be here. Neither would many of us. You need many topics so that there can be synergistic merging of forum traffic.
I therefore find it ironical that you are now in favour of condensing the whole structure into a single topic forum.
The truth is, you really don't need 6 months. Nothing is going to change in 6 months. The traffic today took a decade to build up. 6 months is a pittance compared to the duration of time needed to cultivate the following you have today.
So I say, if you're really intent on this, just do it now. Save everyone the hassle of waiting to see what happens. Shut down the coffeeshop and politics folder and just implement emigration folders for each of the popular destinations -- OZ/NZ, Thailand, JB, etc.

I'm becoming really tired of being the only one here pointing out the fallacies contained in many of the anti government ramblings.
