Church of Crying in Italy

The new crown epidemic continued to expand. In Italy, the worst epidemic in Europe, as of the evening of the 16th, the number of confirmed cases reached 27,980 and the deaths increased to 2,158. A video streamed by the local media showed that the church was full of coffins that were too late to deal with, and the scene was startling. Because the government forbids the masses to gather, the relatives of the deceased have no way to hold funerals for the deceased, so they have to rush.

In order to prevent the epidemic, Yiguo entered a state of blockade on the 10th. The country's news site "Libero Quotidiano" released a video on the 15th and stated that the film was unmodified and was taken at a church in the northwestern city of Bergamo at the heart of the epidemic. The purpose of uploading the video is to call on "everyone really should stay at home", because on March 14th alone, the local newspaper printed an 11-page obituary, which is comparable to the battle report in World War II. One person died of neocoronary pneumonia within 4 minutes.

It can be seen from the film that at least more than 40 coffins are neatly stacked in the church, including several smaller children's coffins. The workers at the scene nailed the coffin with a hammer and seemed to be preparing to be buried. The scene was chilling.

Bergamo, located northeast of Milan, was originally a wealthy province with a population of 1.1 million. Now it has become a "ghost town" due to the epidemic, leaving only ambulances and hearses on the streets. The Washington Post reported that the infected person was taken to an ambulance and rushed to the hospital, where he died alone in the isolation ward without even the last chance to see his loved ones. The family members of the deceased were either banned from a restricted assembly or quarantined, or even ill.

The New York Times also said that due to the surge in deaths and the morgue of the hospital was full, even if the crematorium operated 24 hours, it was difficult to digest the long waiting list.
