No more voting for WP.
Vote for any opposition party besides WP.
WP is now sleeping with PAP.
Sadly I’ve to agree.
Except for its die hard supporters the rest of us can see that WP has no comments on current issues eg return our CPF, toll hikes, ERP, train breakdowns, missing taxis, PRC con man, fake professor etc.
Low has to step down if he’s so ultra conservative and over deferential to PAP.
No more WP rallies for me.

Hougang SMC celebrated this year's Mid-Autumn celebrations amidst the cool winds of September. Residents were treated to free-flow of mooncakes, bottled green tea and hot oolong tea, and enjoyed an evening of games, lantern riddles and lucky draw. A performance of wheel-chair dance caught the imagination of the audience. The performers were able-bodied volunteers who hopes to inspire others who might be wheelchair-bound that their disability should not be an obstacle in doing what they want to do.

As with all Mid-Autumn Celebrations, there was also a lantern procession led by our own MP for Hougang, Mr Png Eng Huat, with a stroll round the neighbourhood park.

SDP is right. PAP will take your cue and introduce legislation and call it PAP ideas. It is time we vote in SDP. We support WP who has benefitted from this website. Now disappointed at their total silence. We hope WP officially elected to start questioning PAP soon and not just do in Parliament only. They have the right as officially elected MPs.

He posted a facebook status, asking if anyone else wants to sign the letter calling for the removal of Alvin Yeo’s MP status. For more details, go here: https://www.facebook.com/kjeyaretnamRP
Please join this petition to remove Alvin Yeo as a MP. We need honest and upright Members of Parliament.
Choa Chu Kang GRC must have a by-election as residents have lost confidence in their Member of Parliament and the PAP leadership for doing nothing at all to address their concerns.

While you are talking about accoutable in the capacity of politicians, what integrity have your WP when they publicly condemned Roy, HHH and protesters at hLP and many negative support like PAP’s return our CPF on 65,
LTK and SL as secretary and chairman of WP have failed as politicians to provide essential constructive policies to improve lives of citizens but remain silent, siting pretty comfort with their 16K MP allowances.
But Roy was sued while voicing out every citizen’s concern and rights on the return of their CPF at 55. Don’t WP feel ashamed as politicians?

So don’t spout nonsense about WP strategy. WP did promise to slap the DRIVER hard if they are caught sleeping.
We want politicians with higher level of integrity and deliver what they promise. Otherwise, why campaign in the first place 挂羊头卖狗肉?
Can’t WP deliver something as simple as their commitment?
So WP supporters, please consider and choose other oppositions (sad to say, my family votes help send WP Aljunied team into parliament). Send clear message to WP and all other opposition parties that if they do not perform and deliver as per their campaign, we will pull them now without qualms.
This is the only way we civilians can do to put politicians on their toes, including PAP (look at LHL wearing HIGH HEELS now that he lost Aljunied).

I agree with the writer. in 2016 vote in more WP MPs into parliament so that they can remain quiet for the next 5 years. if opposition MPs make a lot noises in parliament, LHL will have to spend all his time to fix them, by keeping quiet allows PM Lee to concentrate on state matters. Opposition MPs should emulate theWP MPS, be the PAP Team B, allow all policies to pass unopposed and do not criticize the ruling party , support the 7million PWP, join the PAP MPs to criticize the behaviours of 3H and Roy on the HLP/ YMCA saga!

Singapore is really jialut
Protected October 16th, 2014 | Author: Contributions

Singapore is really jialat. From TOP to Bottom, everything is wrong! From the Top, PAP Ministers anyhow change rules to suit their political agenda; last time Town Council can organize Trade Fair now cannot because they start to lose GRCs… And worse, they abuse public funded grassroot organizations for their political ends!
Then you have the police and NPark who didn’t even know what the hell they are doing, breaching the very law they set for themselves!
Hong Lim Park is exempted from Public Order Act and the Commissioner of Police didn’t “revoke” any license for protest march. Why did the police ended up carrying out investigation on “illegal assembly”? Worse still, police breaches the law by ILLEGALLY seizing Han Hui Hui’s notes on the interview! What kinds of police is this? Rule by law and bully isit?
NPark is the worse. Don’t know what the hell they are doing. Made the mistake of approving the usage of Hong Lim Park for TWO events. Worse still, asking Protesters to make way in Hong Lim Park which is DESIGNATED for Protest while favoring some event which the park is NOTE Meant for it to be carried out? Sure or not? And only the Commissioner can revoke the “license” lah, how can a Director suka suka go and say “I am revoking your license” now when he doesn’t even have the power to do so? Rule by law and bully again isit? Even the police officers who went with him don’t dare to do that lah!
The worse part is our Main Stream Media… it has stooped so low to FABRICATE story about protesters “heckling” poor disadvantaged children! Hello! And then FABRICATE another story about Roy “running away”! What kinds of journalism is that?
This country is going to the dogs! Must well declare Singapore as a PAP Kingdom and no longer a Republic lah! All aspects of law and good practices of Democracy have been breached. I must salute Singaporeans for being so tolerant of all these nonsense from PAP rule though.
But I still prefer the up-righteousness of Hong Kongers. Reporters will shoot their pay masters for being a jerk in manipulating and interfering with Freedom of Press reporting. People will stand up to the bully tactics of the government machinery. But in Singapore? Even our own opposition supporters will be quick gun in shooting activists who are being maligned by the Fabricated reports by the shameful MSM! Alas! Like that Singapore got hope meh?

Roy is the Touchstone for MP:

Oppies NCMP who whacked HHH:
Actually there is one politician from the WP, NCMP Yee Jenn Jong who instead of CHECKING the true facts whether the protest movement did heckled the special need children or not, he just blindly in the first instant, joined the PAPees in whacking HHH, Roy & the protest movement. He had conveniently forgotten that many of these protesters have supported him in his last GE. Till today he still has not apologize for his mistake. This showed that he is as ungrateful as the PAPees.
Roy is the new Standard expected of MPs especially Opposition MPs.
Roy single-handedly tore the CPF policy APART exposing its flaws.
WP has so many MP in parliament that they did not come close to exposing the PAP.
Its fully understandable why Bernie boy attacked Roy from behind, metaphorically speaking.
This episode of Bernie’s sneaky attack gave us a glimpse of WP’s character. Instead of criticizing PAP being opposition, he criticized those who criticized PAP.
Opposition MP must now show us they have the Roy standard in terms of QUESTIONING and having the guts to point out the heart truths and not be a Politically Correct opposition.
Else, WP must be retrenched and reversed into a small political party or join PAP.

........

Bravo, the Hammerrhoids have finally stood up to the PAP after people have waited so long, long. The moon has finally turned blue :

Mini-MPs from the mini-party continue to haggle on mini-issues
http://www.theonlinecitizen.com/2014...-fairs-permit/

"Come, come, let us all clap for them !" - cheers the PAP IBs.

Instead of speaking up for the people on major issues, WP has yet again distracted the national attention by focusing all their time and resources on these kind of mini issues.

Forget about CPF, media censorship, national reserves, FT, COE, escalating cost, etc, etc, they are all irrelevant, frivolous sideshow. This mini-fair is the main event, the main dish, the Mother of all Battles, the very survival of this nation and the future of our children depends on it. WP has proven again that they are incapable and unwilling to stand uo for the people on major issues, but only too capable and too enthusiastic to stand up for themselves on mini issues like mini-permits for the mini-fairs, mini-cleaning for the mini-hawker centres, mini-permits for the mini-playgrounds, mini-etc, mini-etc....

One has to wonder why the Hammerrhoids are always so lethargic and so bochap on major issues, yet so energetic and so fearless on mini issues.

One has to conclude that 'First World Opposition' is all about mini-issues like the mini-fairs, hawker centre mini-cleaning, mini-yusheng making, mini-snooker playing, eating and shopping in mini-1Malaysia to promote 1Malaysia mini-economy (btw, among the stall-holders and workers, how many are Singaporean, 1Malaysian PR, FT? Is WP using taxpayers money to fight for FT again ?).

When one look at WP websites and the Hammer, one has the impression that it is a mini travel agency with their MP starring as mini tour guides. And nothing else... With such matinee mini-hits as "我的导游是MP", these WP mini-MPs have a good chance to compete against Mediacorpse mini-stars for the mini-title "十大最受欢迎男女演员" which nobody care to vote except their respective zombies.

Instead of challenging NEA on mosquitoe and rat breeding, and haze control, WP is actually wasting so much time and money haggling over the design of mini permits so that their FT can make more money. When speaking both inside and outside parliament on major issues, the Hammerrhoids should show this same kind of passion and commitments, which very sadly they reserve only when they are standing up for themselves and for FTs on mini issues.

Instead of elevating the level of national political debate and to awaken the people on major issues, WP has yet again sunk the political discussion to another low level by intoxicating the people on such sensational tabloid-like mini issues.

With such wayang "First World Opposition" only too obsessed on mini issues, it is no surprise that the political maturity of the people is so low when compared to other First World, or even Third World, Democracies.

WP continues to ignore political exiles

......

"To all political exiles, sorry no love from WP!" - Low Thia Khiang
http://www.theonlinecitizen.com/2014...banned-by-mda/

The success of this film again highlighted the glaring failure of WP, both inside and outside parliament.

For over 20 years, this self-styled "First World Opposition" have continued to co-drive with PAP to ignore the sorry plight of political exiles.....Many of these exiles are the Towkay's former comrades like Francis Seow and Tang Liang Hong. Yet WP has failed to speak up for these political exiles despite increasing their MP numbers exponentially. Instead they choose to spend their time on such important issues as bird-droppings and dog-barkings.

Those overseas film critics who give raving reviews and awards to the film have to ask themselves this simple question:

"Where on earth is the Singapore First World Opposition? Where have they been sleeping and idling for the past 20 years? Do they deserve to be called an Opposition?"

Those political exiles and their family can condemn themselves to a life of perpetual wilderness even if the PAP is replaced by WP in the next election.

Perhaps it is a blessing to the poltical exiles that WP has never spoken for them.....If WP were ever to speak up for them, they would most probably flip-flop and turn against the political exiles to make things worse for them:

Prata Singh is supposed to speak up for the the Indian community against the alcohol ban in Little India.....but end up flip-flopping and begging the PAP desperately for them to ban all Indians from drinking alcohol all over the island.....

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZULby54HD9U

Instead of speaking up for the Indian community, WP makes things worse for them.....and succeeded in making the general public to think that Indians are all hopeless alcoholics who are only concerned whether or not they can drink in Little India, and nothing else.
