Once again, the cleaners are being called upon to work overtime to clean up the estate and clear the amazing amount of refuse generated during this time of the year. One of the local cleaners said he will go for his reunion dinner after he is done clearing the refuse. Some cleaners have already done 4 rounds of cleaning today.


I have wished the needy and elderly residents in Hougang great health and happiness on 24 Jan 2016. Today, it is the cleaners I must thank.


The run up to the Lunar New Year is always a busy and hectic time for everyone including the town council, but do remember to take time and show your appreciation to the people who cleaned your estate, day in, day out the past year.


And here's wishing everyone a happy and healthy Lunar New Year!
