The difference its the dialect group that dominate the country. Hk is canto dominated whereas in singkieland its dominated by hokkein. But teochew are majority. And places where hokkein dominated always screws up like indon n php. I now rest my case about hokkeins

When did I ever say I want more Singaporeans to be construction workers. The purpose of this post is to compare ATTITUDES of Hongkie towkays versus Singkie towkays. Profits are always important - that is the purpose of being in business, but there are also other things to consider - responsibility to society; long term outlook versus short term quickies; etc. You are obviously a PAP retarded IB.
Even Tommy Koh compared HK construction workers with SG ones - he noted that those in HK are paid a few times more and their productivity is higher. Productivity is higher probably because of factors like:
- Education and mindset of Hongkie construction worker versus the Bangla ones that El Cheapo Sinkie towkays hire
- Hongkie managers don't pretend to manage and they manage their construction workers better also because of cultural affinity
- Hongkie capitalists invest in the necessary machinery and equipment to enable the Hongkie construction workers to do their work better whilst Singkie towkays will want short term quickie profits so they can buy foreign properties as insurance rather than sink capital into an island which they don't have much loyalty towards but expect peasants' sons to defend in case of war while they and their children flee to London, New York, etc to sit it out

The GLCs take those who can't make it to the MNCs and pay them 60-80% of the MNC pay but their salaries are still about 30-50% higher than the salaries paid by the Chinese Towkays (except maybe the Indonesian ones).
