The protestors acted with restraint. The police were brutal. These protestors would not have invaded the airport if the police allowed the peaceful protests on the streets.

The police did the right thing to beat the living daylights out of the protesters and shoot the bitch in the eye. The oppies have disrupted travel and trade, affecting the livelihoods of the local community and tourists. Fucking oppies! Fuck them all!

If you are a youth in HK, what future is there for you? Work 20 years just to accumulate enough for the downpayment of a tiny hole. Study to university to achieve what?

All the problems in HK can be attributed to China. Chinese buying properties in HK pushed up the price to astronomical level. Developers are building for the Ah Tiongs, not the locals.

If the youth of HK don't fight now, when?

spot on, that is the real issue, if you dont even have a decent space to call home, you have nothing to lose,

Will calm and sanity prevail in Hong Kong ? The Hong Kong leaders need to come out to speak to the protesters instead of keeping quiet.

What the protesters do is not helping Hong Kong. They are bringing Hong Kong down economically and inevitably bringing China into direct engagement. The protesters need to awaken to the fact that there is no turning back from the deal of Hong Kong's return to China in 2047. What they should expect, instead of a break away from China, is a compelling vision of Hong Kong's future under China's rule and that where the current Hong Kong leadership has failed to communicate.
KNN back tracking the 13th very important sub main theme song with highlighted lyrics KNN

If the riots happened in Singapore, Fat Fugly CB face Kirsten Han will be the one not appearing on the streets but stirring shit from behind the scenes. The worst kind of scum in society.

THAT'S MY TIME
THAT'S MY TIME
THAT'S MY TIME
THAT'S MY TIME
THAT'S MY TIME
THAT'S MY TIME
THAT'S MY TIME
THAT'S MY TIME

Fears of A ‘Color Revolution’
On the mainland, pundits have warned that Hong Kong is on the brink of disaster. State-run newspapers have called on the public to help protect China’s sovereignty. Prominent officials have blamed American diplomats for working as “black hands” intent on fomenting an uprising.

Beijing once worked diligently to keep word of the Hong Kong protests from reaching the mainland, perhaps fearing the unrest could spread. But in recent days, Mr. Xi’s government has led an all-out effort to discredit the protesters.

The sudden shift reflects deepening concern within the party that it is facing a secessionist threat that could undermine Mr. Xi’s hard-line image.

It poses a delicate challenge. Mr. Xi, who has led a broad crackdown on dissent, does not want to be perceived as yielding to the party’s foes. Yet he is likely wary of taking drastic action, such as deploying troops, for fear of a broader fallout.
Such moves could energize his critics, including pro-independence forces in Taiwan, a self-ruling island that China claims as its own. Hong Kong has long served as China’s entree into the global financial system and a symbol of the Communist Party’s ability to work with free-market societies; an overreaction might alienate big companies and imperil the territory’s economy.

“Anything too dramatic is going to be quite a high cost. It will be called Tiananmen 2.0, and they don’t want that kind of reputational hit,” said Kerry Brown, a professor of Chinese politics at King’s College London, referring to Beijing’s bloody crackdown on protesters at Tiananmen Square in 1989.

For the moment, Mr. Xi’s strategy appears to be to throw the government’s support behind Mrs. Lam and the police while blaming the United States for sowing strife.

------

No one wish the worst should happen, but China will shoot if the situation gets out of control. This is the way that they have always known that has worked. Rebellion must be crushed. The Communist ideology must be upheld at all cost. That is their DNA. The communist ideology runs deep in their blood.

Hong Kong government dishes out sweeteners worth HK$19.1 billion to soothe a faltering economy hit by US-China trade war and political unrest
The Hong Kong government unveiled a hefty package of relief measures worth HK$19.1 billion (US$2.4 billion) on Thursday as it downgraded the growth forecast to 0 to 1 per cent, citing strong economic headwinds but also indirectly blaming the festering protests.
The sweeteners, spanning help for small businesses to student subsidies and fee waivers for low-income households, will cost the government nearly 50 per cent more than it had originally planned in the annual budget for this year, which carried the price tag of HK$42.9 billion.

Making the announcement, Financial Secretary Paul Chan Mo-po cited a host of reasons for the relief measures but studiously avoided the word “ protests ”, describing the anti-government demonstrations of the past two months instead as “recent social incidents”.

He spelt out a total of seven measures to support enterprises and safeguard jobs, as well as seven other initiatives to relieve people’s burdens, such as further tax reductions and subsidies for 900,000 students, from kindergarten to secondary school levels.

More packages will be rolled out by other government bodies soon. Several of the relief measures will need the approval of the Legislative Council which is now in recess.
