Many towkays now have to eat towgay. Like I said previously, many of the big-timers all MIA liao. Those around are betting less than half their usual bets. I know several. They are going, going, gone! It is like they used to drive a 3000cc car, veri the 'powderful'. Now, they limbek, engine always stall.

kukubird58: Very true indeed. The 'killer' is not casinos. The real killer are those that gives you credit first. In casinos, you usually need your own cash to gamble. There are exceptions, not many.

Why? Coz when credit is given, you bet like a champion! Sure win, can't lose mentality. When Mon comes, severe migrain when accounts must be settled. The strange thing is end of the day, the punters usually lose. Which bookmaker run road? Few, if any. Which punter run road or jump without parachute? Plenty.

If you ask me, HFJs are worse than casinos. Unlike casinos when you stand a 50-50 chance of winning (baccarrat), HF is one way down south. You cannot win except gain face and some abalone.

There are many who went broke after HF. Some borrow from ah long to 'teow huay'. Only about 20 strong clients left in the market. I mean those who consistently spend more than 20k a month on HF.

Wrong Ramseth. I signed up, paid up 2k once I was convinced I could be a winner. I spent about $1.5k before paying the 2k. And yes, I am there almost daily. Do not misconstrue me as a gambler. Gamblers did die must bet all the time. I don't. If after drinking too much, I won't go in. Other times, no mood. To me, my very regular trips there are all part of business for me. Making $300 daily is enough for me to maintain my lifestyle.

Not too long ago, they issued about 10 new 'licenses' - 6-7 for PRCs and 2-3 for Thais. No new operators. They 'invited' existing operators with good track record to open another. My friend lucky - got another. Old one at Westerhout Rd, new one at Lor 18. Great place at Lor 18 - deco, bed, service, gals etc. Can't recall house number. They are 2 in 1 - 2 units with one license. Used to be an internet joint.

Hope this is not something you felt only recently. It's been like this for decades. MM was worse when he was PM. LHL slowly, getting slightly better but lots of room for improvement. The sky's the limit.

A Mirror or a 2-Way Glass?
How can you tell when you are in a room, restroom, motel etc. whether it is installed with a mirror or a 2-way glass (means they can see u but u can't see them)?
There have been cases of people installing 2-way mirrors in female changing rooms; especially if u are overseas. It is very difficult to positively identify the surface by looking at it.
So, how do we determine with any amount of certainty what type of mirror we are looking at?
Just conduct this simple test:
Place the tip of your finger against the reflective surface and if there is a GAP between your finger and the image of the finger viewed sideway, then it is GENUINE mirror.
However, if your finger DIRECTLY TOUCHES the image of your finger, then BEWARE! IT IS A 2-WAY MIRROR!
"No Space, Leave the Place"
So remember, every time you see a mirror, do the "finger tip test." It doesn't
cost you anything.

REMEMBER. No Space, Leave the Place:
Note: Tests conducted by kukubird on both mirrors and 2 way glass and findings confirmed as above.
