A former events manager was charged in court on Monday with corruptly obtaining $10,200 from two people in return for renting commercial space from their companies.
Faymond Huang Zhiming, 37, was employed by 101 Hair Consultants when he allegedly obtained a total of $3,900 from Mr Teo Kah Siong, owner of JR Concept Enterprise, between 2008 and 2009 to rent commercial space from JR Concept.
He is also said to have accepted bribes amounting to $6,300 from Mr Seah Kok Hong, a director of Hemus Pacific, in return for renting commercial space from Hemus.
Two other charges accuse him of trying to obtain $700 from Mr Teo, and $1,500 from Mr Seah in July 2009.
