From what I was told, Sinkieland wild boars are a hybrid. Cross between domesticated pigs and wild boars. So they are not pure-breed wild boars, more like wild pigs. And they are not omnivores anymore due to a lack of food source. They eat whatever they can find, including leftover bbq chicken meat/bones, fish/bones etc.

Sad....that means hunt oreadi cannot eat...so waste...but can. Use n feed the Tigers etc at the zoo. Can use don't waste

You can blame the people these days, they have not seen real animals or plants. I passed by a small kid with his dad, they came across a Papaya Tree & he told his dad " Banana"...Dad should shown him his....daddy has " banana"....mummy " papaya"...this Tree has PAPayas! The can't tell a water buffalo from a.....

Very true. One sinkie i was driving through malaysia exclaimed "wow so many coconut trees in malaysia. In singapore all develop no more cocout trees" . He was reffering to palm oil trees.

They can't tell a Hen ( except NG ENG HEN) from a cockeral, a Goose from a Duck & a Duck from a Drake or a sheep from a goat or cow, bull from a Water Buffalo. As I was at that boy's age I was relating about, I know who had the " banana" & the "papaya" in the family..ha ha ha..also, who has "watermelons", wrinkled oranges " or even , 'tiny kum ( Tangerines)...most people these days only see things on their smartphones..through instagram, FB etc... In the real world...they know very little.
 
WILD boar in a populated housing estate? WILD boar attacked and injured a fellow resident? Are the relevant authorities not aware of the dangers posed to the residents in the area? Do they not have prior knowledge of the existence of these WILD boars? What about the elected Members of Parliament? Do they have eyes but cannot see? Do they have brains but refused to think? Don't they have a feeling heart to care for the constituents? Is it because there's NO MONEY to squeeze?

Fat pig's husband says his pregnant sow was jumped from behind by the wild boar. Maybe her ass was being aggressive to the boar.

SINGAPORE (THE NEW PAPER) - A wild boar suddenly attacked a pregnant woman from behind, inflicting deep cuts on her right calf, at Edgefield Plains in Punggol on Tuesday afternoon (Aug 28).

The incident occurred as she was walking to a bus stop from Punggol Secondary School, where she works as an administrator.

Her husband, who declined to be named, told The New Paper on Wednesday (Aug 29): "The wild boar suddenly attacked her from behind."


He said the attack ended only after a passing cyclist used his bike to fend off the animal, which ran away, leaving her in pain and bleeding badly from her wounds.

It was not clear if the boar, which weighs 40kg, had gored her, but her husband said she had many bite marks.

When the story broke on Tuesday night, netizens had speculated whether the woman had provoked the animal.

But her husband denied that she had provoked the animal. "She was attacked from behind."

The wild boar later entered the nearby Waterbay executive condominium, where security guards trapped it in the bin centre. It was then tranquillised and captured.

SINGAPORE: A wild boar died after being run over outside Waterway Point in Punggol on Saturday (Jan 12).
Animal welfare group Animal Concerns Research and Education Society (ACRES) received a call at about 11.55am alerting them to two wild boars near Waterway Point.

One was reported to be in the car park, while the other had died after being run over.
When officers from ACRES arrived at the scene, they found only the carcass of the dead wild boar. The carcass was subsequently cleared by the National Environment Agency, ACRES said.
Wild boars sightings are common in Punggol, but residents said they rarely pose problems.
In August last year, a woman was taken to hospital after she was injured by a wild boar, which then entered a condominium before being sedated and relocated.

In November 2017, a wild boar was shot by police for "endangering public safety" at Punggol West Flyover, after it was injured in an accident and turned aggressive towards police officers and members of the public.
The Ministry of National Development said it was "working closely" with stakeholders to "manage the wild boar issues" in Singapore in November 2017.
