I've heard some FTs (PRs) have returned back to their own home countries but still holding on to their bought HDBs. They then rent it out to collect rental. For a 3 rm, at S$1,800, that will translate to about 60,000 rupees in India. Very very good money considering the fact that an ordinary manager only makes about 10,000 rupees and min wage for worker is about 2,000+ rupees....

I think there are people that really need a HDB flat but can't afford..rental from HDB is long queue and lots of rules..from open market is expensive, buying new flat..long queue too...
