This is true...let me share what happen on that day..wow tat was in the early 80s i was just a teenager waiting for my enlistment in the army,
that horse was train by a local trainer late allan yap pow leng..the horse that he beat was train by the the late ivan allan and co own by the late ew barker,
ivan allan was so confident of his horse winning and he had a big bet on it,he cant believe it when his horse lost to a donkey,knowing both ivan and ew barker personally,ivan the genius that he really is went down to the paddock and look at the horse that beat his and true enough he saw a different brand number on the winning horse and went to the steward room and raise an objection..the cheat was found out and objection upheld,an inquiry was held and the cheating trainer was fine and banned from the turf club.
the old bukit timah turf club indeed holds alot of memories,those were the days.
