I am actually suprised by the responses that I see here. I had the distinct impression that the ground shifted significantly away from the PAP and they are on the defensive.
.......
There is also the liberal young who will be coming into vote and the communist bogeyman politics will have no truck with them. The fear factor will no longer make sense in the world of internet.
Am I missing something.
No sir....you are not missing anything but not sure how you get the impression that the ground has shifted significantly away from Papee...
If it is through internet forums, then it is just self reinforcements of views.
Many of the cyber warriors are anti-papee.
It is fashionable to bash them and even sinkies at large.
I am not familiar with other forums but if you look at sammyboy:
1. On line members are usually less than 50.
2. Active on line members are even less.
3. Even guests are only few hundreds most of the time.
Sinkaporeans are known to complain and grumble a lot.
We have also gone through ups and downs in the economy.
So actually nothing is new.
More importantly, it is the "present" state of opposition as a whole.
I think it is even more fragmented and dis-united that before.
