Dear Scroobal,

Ethics is the main problem of post Cultural Revolution generations in China. The author gets it right, the root issue is Ethics rather than the end result, poor quality.

One has to understand what Cultural Revolution has done to the many generations of Chinese in order to have a proper perspective on what is going on in China right now.

Cultural revolution has practically wiped off all ethical notions among the whole population at that time. Son and daughters could bring their parents to the streets to shame them, torture their teachers etc. It is a movement that destroy any morality brought upon by Confucius ethics and scholars where the shamed and forced into farming/forced labor.

Under such circumstances, 3 generations (young, middle age and old) of Chinese people have practically lost their moral compass, on what is wrong and what is right. What they care is to make the right moves to keep them alive and out from persecution; be it betrayal of friends or even parents and relatives....etc.

These are the people we are dealing with right now. Those young impressionable people that were molded by the Cultural Revolution.

True on that.I totally agree with Mr Goh.The root of the problem now China is facing is due to the moral behaviour in China. They only care about is money.
Well, yes you can say all of us care about money. Not only China.
But the main point we left out is, when Mao Zhedong called for a culture revolution in China after he kicked out Chiang from china, which i think is wrong because Chiang is a good leader with some flaws better than Mao is a bad leader with alot of flaws... China moral was deeply brainwashed by Mao.

Mao dont believe in religion or god.and he dont believe in karma.he believe he is the king himself.so he brainwash all the china fellows ... believe in 斗争, politics attacking, and stop believing in god.that's why china people dare to do evil things and think that there is no karma to punish them.without religion, there is no love in them.they only know , prositute, money, fake stuff, and .... how to earn alot of money money money even to the extend of killing their own citizens!!!

it is this type of thinking that make china what she is today.a country only know how to use force to make one kowtow to her or rather a country with a yaya attitude believing they are the king now just because they are the world largest U.S debt carrier!!!

I like it when you talk ethics. Now, is ethics also tie to loyalty and principles? If it is, I like to hear from you, the horse's mouth, the reasons you move from WP to NSP. Was it because Sylvia beng the NCMP. Also, how much is your contribution to the 'dream team' in the last election in Aljunied; in your own words please.
