In the exercise, we're suppose to hunt the US warships... we're shot before the moment we left harbor. Our officer came back and said that on the aircraft carrier, their radar is so strong that when out at open sea, they can actually see all our ships parked by the dock.

Support ships are an important element in any navies, and don't judge a ship by it's size, it could be a nimble cargo/supply ship retrofitted with light guns and cannons effective against small, fast targets.

You don't use a sledge-hammer to hit wall nails, you use a small hammer. And in this case, there are 2 good wall-nail hammers here - the Super Pumas.

probably somebody higher up will say its all citizens fault-as the quality of the manpower supply is questionable.

singapore navy is piece of shit, we even got destroy by a slow moving cargo ship. let not talk about fast moving missiles.

the only powerful navy in asia is Japan and distant second china. The rest are only good for rescuing sinking yacht.

That's a Landing Ships Tank (LST) typically used by Navies around the world to support amphibious operations. They usually carry troops along with the required vehicles and cargo directly onto shores.

RSN' LST is locally built with a flight deck and a well dock and is armed with 76 mm Oto Melara and Mistral SAM. These are support or supply vessels and not designed for direct confrontations.

To be fair, the SAF has never participated directly in any confrontations and has typically adopted a humanitarian or support approach.

Scoopdreams.. warship is the term used for a specific class of military vessel. our Navy ships are called gunboats or patrol craft in Navy standard. US coast guard's ship is bigger than ours.
