Six double-decker buses were reduced to a smouldering ruin in the blaze on Mar 7 over a year ago.

The six double-decker buses had caught fire at Ang Mo Kio Bus Depot located at Ang Mo Kio St 63. The SCDF soon arrived and brought the fire under control, but not before the buses had been reduced to charred wrecks.

The STOMPer commented:

"We learned of the two graffiti incidents on SMRT trains and how the Public Transport Council reacted to it.

"However, when six SBS Transit double-decker buses burned down at Ang Mo Kio depot on Mar 2010, details were kept hush hush.

"What are the findings? Was it a security lapse? If it was, why weren't any fines slapped on SBS Transit?"
